Anything targeting Gypyx would've targeted T3, if Ydrasse "saved" the player being shot, it would imply that scum was originally hitting Gypyx with a night kill, which doesnt mesh with Gypyx scum. Or they were targeting Gypyx to hit T3 if the redirection was with a scum bus driver, but why try to kill T3 in that scenario? If gypyx is scum then T3 is town i guess.

The lack of kill can be explained through ways more likely than the jailkeep

Idk, it sounds cool to me.

First of all this is a theme game and some of the roles in the game are gonna be weird. I think a singular role - not necessarily the 3 way bus driver, because that is an example of a possible role that could work- that explains the multiple redirections is far more likely than multiple redirecting roles.

Second, yes but it's far more likely that Taly was redirected given that the only possible threat actors who would desire roleblock Taly are scum, and Taly claimed something entirely self-targeting and as such I think scum would be unlikely to roleblock there

Although if it's a 3-way bus driver then it doesnt necessarily mean that it was scum motivated since they were trying to redirect Taly to Gypyx.

Taly self targets and thus it would be helpful to make anyone targeting Taly target someone else instead. Taly is also a very likely nightkill target, so the second target should be someone scummy who can get killed by nightkill instead if that happens.
So Gypyx is selected as target number 2. Gypyx is a plausible target of investigations and roleblocking kind of things so you probably don't want to mess that stuff up too much, which is why I can see T3 being picked as the third target.
Whoever you pick as target 3 needs to be someone who isn't going to get NKed. You probably also want to minimise the risk of them getting vigged too, because that's a strong possibility even after the suicidal dayvig from day 1 because this is a large game. But there's your T3 rotation.

Given what we know and do not know, it could be a lightning rod that redirects every role beginning with the letter J to a specific target

The easiest test of the carousel hypothesis is to wait until Gypyx comes back and see if he can say the thing Taly does
