Also, on behalf of past Pink Ball, I want to apologize for his atrocious acting during his first night out drinking after a long time. I'm pretty sure he didn't mean to talk shit about wrinkles that much.

The thing that always surprised me about Cardcaptor Sakura is that it does not actually have a major associated card game. You hear the title and you think, "sounds like something like Yu-gi-oh that's meant to promote the game." But actually, the series itself is critically acclaimed, given it won the Anime Grand Prix award in 1999. While it may not be as famous as
Sailor Moon
, it is certainly a compelling
shojo
in its own right.
What's a bit interesting to me about Cardcaptor Sakura is that it was explicitly designed to be a "Nakayoshi-esque" series, so it began as a series that was aimed for 8-14 year old girls; that is, it began with a demographic in mind before it really had a clear central premise. The lead artist basically thought, "well magical girls are in, let's do that." And somehow they ended up with a critically-acclaimed, 4-year-long manga run that has a dedicated fanbase to this day. I think that's a testament to the design team at Clamp being willing to apply themselves even when they're working outside their "usual niche." In fact, reportedly, some Clamp members particularly liked working on Cardcaptor Sakura because of its upbeat plot compared to the studio's usual "tragic" fare.
And did you know that Clamp is an all-female manga studio? Which is probably why Cardcaptor Sakura is one of the most (in my opinion) objectively tasteful series out there.

I’m sorry that mastina died. But you know what will make you feel better?
I thought Creature softed a clear on flippyNips, but Auro took that back, either to keep open a mislynch, or he just doesn't have a clear, probably the ladder.
Cafe has some town cred due to pushing JJH for so long, but I like to think scum didn't know JJH was their traitor until the end of Day 3, then they recruited him.
