not really a thing on this site.
Scum played well, and got the win.

Oh, and before this gets locked. Mod, that was flawless on your end, and it was appreciated. Thanks.

What Cabd said! You did a great job, Maestro
The main reason I joined the site is to mod games, actually. I prefer running them rather than playing, so I hope to be able to do that when my probationary period is up

Agreed, only thing was when there were 2 votes on me. Everything else was superb.

tanks guys, but I always see room for improvement
P.S. post-game discussion continues for as long as you all want, neither I or singer are going to lock the thread till it's finally moved to the Newbie Archives in a month or two

Mara. At the start of day three, who did you think the scum team was?
Irish, same question.

I was suspicious of Esquire and jmo as per my opening post, but I was leaning more on Esquire. Silly me. I never saw you as scum.

if you looked at my post, I was starting to take back my town read on you
when you stated that the team was likely to be TIP/Esquire I was drawing questions marks as I thought it was likely to be JMO/Esquire. Then there was the fact that you were pushing Esquire despite saying JMO was the buddy and I was all...
Fuck

Heh.
What post gave you a town read on me D1 anyways?

Do you really think that this is a scum slip though? I just took it as a joke
Yes. I've had newbscum do this in several games before. When a new player speaks about teams and acts like they have knowledge that the other person is on a different team, I find it a scum slip. It's just something that's worked for me in the past. Its a lot better pressuring him for a read than staying in RVS.
If you guys got null that's fine, but I'd still like to bark up this tree.
This post. Your thought process here was understandable, and why you thought Jon was scum was legit. You also showed that you didn't exactly care about what others think which is usually townish. Your aggression on D1 also looked superbly townish so...

@MS
What was your complete read of me? It seems to have been going from strong town to nearly scum until I died.

Shadi, you were many different flavors of town, though you were never close to a scum read. I kinda left you alone because you weren't getting a whole lotta pressure but if you ended up getting wagoned, I would have defended you no doubt.
what gave you the impression that I was scum reading you?

Well you stated you had a strong town read but then you started saying "I'm not sure I like what you were doing" when we were agreeing on a wagon and it landed on Jebus. You then also said "I'm not gonna vote on you now" meaning I saw myself as a candidate for your vote the same round but not as the first one.

Btw shadi I wanted you dead night one because you'd read me too well day two, I thought. Good thing I did eh?

A good move, I wanted to scream at the players many times R2 about not killing you. How did you actually anticipate my read?
Posted: Tue May 28, 2013 11:26 am
by Cabd
Because you were making under-currents about it. I'm pretty good at predicting reads at scum, if i do say so myself.

I see, good job then.

Dunno if you read the game I linked to as my prior scum play offsite, shadi, but I love playing a very aggressive scum game. It allows me to "read the reads" and get an idea of who will read me how.

I see, interesting; would also show you whom to target first to get rid of loudmouths early on in the game.
Don't you find the process a bit risky? Being aggressive could often mean digging your own grave; although you did back down on reads and votes R1. It was first R2 I started to become deadly sure of you, which you somehow predicted. Also CBA to iso or check you up, link pl0x.

Also well, perfect scum win on my first game on this site. Will be good motivation for me to improve much more; hopefully I will meet some of you guys again. Hopefully I will be scum in some games soon as well; I came here to hone my abilities as scum.

It doesn't work quite as well here, but on my home site, the metagame has the alphas and stronger wolves prefer to lurk. Being super hyper active throws everyone's reads off. So does twisting emotions and getting seen as a town leader.
http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=168615 link for ya. BTW "jpulice" is "paid pyro" on this website, in case you ever run into him in a game.
