@iece: I believe you may have just caught out cult in nico, to know for certain though I need to know what the wording for the result pm from the mod was when you investigated vp when he was bloody cos I have only investigated people who haven't been bloody.I know you can't quote it but if you could just outline the most significant words the mod used.

I sent Vi a message about it, and she told me to reread the First Night template. So there may be an explanation back there.

Vi's Template I was referred to wrote:Your action: Investigate: Percy
Result: Success - Percy was Bloody at the time of your investigation. As a side effect, you have lost your Forensic Tools.
Result: Failure - Percy was not Bloody at the time of your investigation.

So it looks like "Failure" means that Nacho wasn't bloody rather than that there was an impossible Ward. As in, it's just the word they use for a negative result. Or, at least, it's possible for someone to receive that kind of information. Though I'm still surprised Nicky didn't correct me.

Vi's the one who sent the stuff out last night (or mine was from Vi), so I'm pretty sure she'd follow her own template, in spite of Nicky's bizarre confusion.

VP, I dunno why you'd target me on those grounds. Namely, Nacho's the one who came out voting for you, and I'd already shifted gears a little. Claiming that I have some kind of disproportionate retribution thing going on doesn't make sense.

@ TNM -- I'd missed your question from before. My PM matches what Vi had in her template, even though it was from Percy that night. So it looks like they're probably both being consistent.

There's still the weirdness of Nicky assuming there was warding, but w/e.

Vp I asked you because with a rez kit I thought if you were town it would be crazy to rez anyone but me considering I'm confirmed to you, yet my initial pm contained nothing about noise from the mod.I forgot I had hallucination anyway, but vi has since said it was a mistake.

Iece my question to you was a test because I have actually received both a success and a failure from investigations, and so I found it strange that you would have had a success result from vp yet you didn't realize that that could explain the failure when you specifically asked if anyone had a non bloody result.Not sure yet if you were legitimately trying to work it out our if you just asked the mod what your pm wording should have been but I'll worry about that later if I need to.

I have never had a negative result from kits -- only the positive on VP. It's true that I might have reasoned that the opposite of "success" would be "failure," but I honestly didn't even remember use of the word "success" -- I just remembered the word bloody.

My guess was that it went like this:
BLOODY
NOT BLOODY
FAILURE (i.e. shenanigans involved -- even though it's impossible for kits)

So I thought Nicky might be trying to implicate Nacho. But I asked Vi about it and she referred me to her template post from ages ago, so it's mostly straightened out now.

It's STILL weird that Nicky didn't just say "ya, failure i.e. there was no blood," but the immediate weirdness is past.

The change is that because "failure" is a possible outcome for investigation, it is no longer a 100% obvious scumslip of the sort that would make you town by process of elimination.

Honestly, I'm not concerned with Nico. Didn't he ward Seacore? Seems town to me.

Well, you were the last person I actually wanted to investigate, but everyone else I was interested in checking was tied up in alleged the murdering shenanigans and I didn't want to get blood from something like that. The fact that I didn't check your mutilation was the icing on the cake of you being an afterthought to investigate. I'm ready to vote VP but I can only vote the L-1 spot or the hammer.
