he's been asking those sort of questions all game. why did the last one in particular make you feel he was scum?

Usually the amount of fluff he posts is diluted by some scumhunting and information gathering posts, but that last one was completely devoid of any helpful town motivation.

I still feel nervous about Hindu and think that he might just be calling me town to appease me (it is my self proclaimed weakness :c) because I directly stated that it was a large reason for me not suspecting him in RPG (that and Fate), but Zang is definitely scummier for the time being.

Klazam responding really quickly to everything that has popped up and then, when I post something solid, avoiding this game is not normal. This is the nervousness I was talking about in full swing.

What I mean is that a bunch of people called Oversoul scummy and you hopped on the wagon despite your never having mentioned Oversoul. Then Oversoul made a few solid posts. Before anyone else commented on them, you immediately called his catch-up forced and reaffirmed your scum read of him. Then several people come in and call Oversoul obvtown. And presto, all of a sudden, your vote is on Klazam again.

this seems like a fair assessment of events though.

Your post confused me because of the mentioning of the tell and just the wording of it. So I explained the tell and asked for clarification.

In that quote, he said that you only had two posts so shouldn't you have assumed that it was your first two contentless posts because that was the only time in the game that you only had two posts?

His early posts still give me a town read but his later posts aren't as good but I wouldn't say that he's scum especially when I already have a few scum suspects.

kinda i mean mina's not said anything particularly wrong, but it seems to ignore context . i mean for one a bunch of people didn't find oversoul scummy did they? anxiety's voted him but i think i put a second one down and then you voted. i did say his posts felt forced but would ignore them until he sort of seemed to catch up more. it also sort of ignores the fact oversoul posted between the posts. i didn't think he was town per se but they were fairly okay posts and i felt fine switching back to klazam.

Alright, I'm back. I've read over the posts since I went V/LA.

Reagrding Zang

He remains my Number 1 suspect. In reference to his reasons for his reads, it's my belief that the waffling nature of them is for future benefit. From his list alone, he stands to be "right" regarding anyone's alignment aside from Hinduragi and 4nxi3ty independent of their actual alingment. That is why it is scummy. There is no Town benefit to that kind of list. It gives an appearance of thoughtfulness and analysis - Townieness - that is not really there.

When I pressed him on his choice of language, his "defense" led to contradictions in his reasons. Most important is the fact that he tried to drop discussion of this in favor of continuing the pointless argument about my initial 4nxi3ty vote. During our back and forth, there was potential for a quote strip war and Zang was responding to everything. It seems highly indicative of scum to try to discourage discussion about what appears to be the strongest single scum tell in his play.

I don't see any real effort on Zang's part to accomplish a lynch on Hinduragi, his stated top suspect. Lynches are team efforts, and have to be sold. Sitting back and simply explaining why a certain player seems scum doesn't get the job done. Again, this looks like scum faking a Town mindset. Give the appearance of scumhunting and finding scum, but no real desire to actually achieve the goal of lynching someone.

I can and will support a Klazam lynch if there is no further interest in a Zang lynch from anyone else. Right now, the Zang wagon consists of Seraphim (RVS vote of lurker extraordinaire), me, and Oversoul (who apparently thinks I'm bussing Zang). From that, he also thinks Zang was bussing Hinduragi, and evidently he thinks he has solved this game. I have absolutely no confidence in my wagon mates, but I wonder why the Zang wagon has not attracted more adherents if it is on a town player?

Regarding Klazam

I still believe his abandonment of his kiwieagle stance was prompted by the resistance that popped up. "The post" by kiwieagle was indicative of a Town mindset, sure. But, I can't see any Town mindset behind Klazam caving to the sudden shift in the general consensus regarding kiwiweagle if his original kiwieagle suspicions were genuine. It doesn't ring true to me.

I agree wtih Hinduragi's point that Klazam was quick to respond and argue when it was single point kinds of attacks, then disappeared when Hinduragi made a comprehensive case and "Klazam must hang" post. It does look like caught scum.

Regarding Seraphim

I've got nothing new to add about him. I would support his lynch simply on the grounds that he hasn't done anything Town beneficial (aside from leaving his vote on Zang).

Those are the three lynches I'll support for Day 1.

It's a little bit like the following.

It's his style of play. Some people are stonemasons and make wall upon wall, brick by brick. Some people are the analyzers who only intervene when they deem their comments important. Some, like Faraday, are poets who post whatever comes to their mind.

I doubt someone would have a scummeta of spamming. What purpose does it serve? Really... Drown out the town? Discourage the town? DLG, weak accusation.
