A large difference? The difference is in the amount of what is being claimed. My point is that regardless of the level of information being claimed, I see little town benefit from massclaiming partially or fully on day one and see potential scum benefit to having information from any kind of massclaim. The big elephant in the room with Matt is his vanilla town claim, it just comes out of nowhere, completely unpromted with only one vote on him... so you can't even argue that there were a lot of votes on him to where he could have misconstrued the vote count to believe he was at lynch -1.

Then his reaction to this "realization." It just doesn't ring true to me. It just feels way overacted.

So you have confused the hell out of town scum play on one side vs WTF town on the other, and to me it just makes more sense that it's more likely the former is what's going on. It's not that I'm dismissing town possibilities completely. It's that I find them less likely to be the case here.

For some reason, I can use teleportation as kind of a JK/Ascetic type role. If I target a player, no actions can be taken by either player. No actions can affect either player, unless my target decides to kill me.

I assumed I could technically "jailkeep" someone because if I target someone who tries to use an action, it will fail unless the target tries to kill me. The role flavor said that targeting someone would protect them from any kill attempts made on them. It also makes them Ascetic because no actions can affect them.
So, yes, I've played with an Ascetic-type role off-site.
