So, left, we have:

Me, Starkmoon, Ziliu, and Bethelmark.

So.

I'm a doctor, Ziliu is a mason presumed-naive cop. Bethelmark has a night-kill. Starkmoon did nothing night one.

My inclination is to think either a) Bethelmark is an SK who's decided that being cooperative with the town is the best way to hold out this long, or b) Starkmoon is an SK who either can't or just hasn't made a kill every night.

Either that, or somewhere in Thud!, Fred Colon turns into a raging lunatic and kills everyone. Or Igor suddenly starts killing people, but that would mean Ziliu should be dead three times over, so I'm thinking that's out.

Just due to the incredibly small amount of numbers we have left, I'm not going to drop a vote yet. But I know who I have my eye on.

I can see Fred going on a mad rampage if he is denied his wife's cooking =P for some reason he seems to like it :-| </badly timed humour>
However I thought that Ziliu was Nobby?

Personally, I believe Ziliu is innocent, the whole confirmed mason thing works for me.

Neongrey I also am inclined to believe your claim, Igor = Doc and no counters, in a game where there have been differing numbers of kills each night.

I am what I said, vanillla, and feeling somewhat left out. Also... just a thought, IF i had a night kill, i could have used it last night and gotten this down to just, for example, me ziliu and bethelmark.. and had a greater chance of winning.. the number of kills per night really don't allow for me to kill too..

I am pretty damned sure bethelmark is our next target, I won't say 'completely' or '100%' because there are no such certainties in this game. (However if ziliu or neongrey are the leftover scummy type... well done!)

Though a little WIFOM, I also think bethelmark is our SK, for reasons starkmoon provided. If starkmoon were SK, she would have much better chances of winning by killing neongrey. I consider neongrey cleared.

So bethelmark, cough up a defense, please!

You know what, embarassing as my relentlessly having misread a character's name through
the whole game
is, and no matter how much I'd like to forget about that, I think it's best that this not be the very last thread on the page.

Hmm, forgot about that.

On another note, I'm going on vacation from July 3rd to August 13, with little or no internet access. I find it really not worth the hassle for the mod to find a replacement this late in the game, especially when what seems to be happening is: we lynch bethelmark, if we're right about him being SK we win, if we're wrong we lose. But that's why I'm a little eager to get this day over with.

But,
Mod
if the game isn't yet over by dawn tomorrow game time, I would hereby like to request being replaced.

Right now I'll just wait for bethelmark to get back, and if he doesn't have a really good defense, I'll just keep my vote on him for the rest of the day, and hopefullly the game can end before I leave.

we seem kinda stuck at the moment...

really thought ziliu, what defence can bethelmark put forward? there are only four of us left, and we three active people are all pretty much accepted as being cleared...

I'm back, sorry for the wait.

I'm not so sure that everyone is truly "cleared". Mason traitors exist, fake claims exist, etc. I can tell you that my claim is true to the letter. However, I'm not going to vote at this point, as I want to reread the thread and pick up on my best lynch candidate, as I only get one shot at it (I can't unvote today).

Obviously no one is ever truly cleared, but there's always operating assumptions you need to work from, especially when setting out your basic here's-what-we-know-and-what's-happened-thus-far.

This is gonna be my last post in this thread before I leave. I could make a really long post, but to sum it, I think bethelmark is scum. Good luck to you, and it was nice playing in this game. Pity really, that I couldn't be with you to the end.

OK... assumptions...

I believe that Lloyd and Ziliu both have said that their PM's explicitly state that they know each other to be innocent...

And while Nobby is known for his petty theft, he isn't the sort to be involved in anything bigger.

To my mind that leave Ziliu and me (obviously) cleared (as much as you can be sure in any mafia game anyways) I will hunt up quotes shortly and post them under this..

neon... no counter claim for doctor with a role-name that suits. In a game where the number of kills has varied night to night...

again I am inclined to believe this...

which leaves.....
Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them more.

Vote: ziliu

Starkmoon is cleared by Harry_Potter (found to take no action on a night where an apparent SK kill took place), and I'm inclined to believe neon's claim because of the varying amounts of kills and the lack of a counterclaim. That leaves you. Just because you claim that you knew Lloyd was innocent and Lloyd knows you were innocent doesn't mean you are (with mason traitors, the townie mason doesn't know his partner is scum). I feel confident in my vote.

May I ask what the evidence against me is other than that I'm the only one who's claimed a killing role?

i couldnt find the posts i am sure i read about the PM's being explicit with the confirmation of innocence...

this leaves me doubting my surety of ziliu's innocence.. and also returning to the questions i had before the mason claim.

i am going to hold off on voting.. want to re-read. I have a couple of ghosts of thought, and want to see if they are correct before i do anything else.

Ugh. Not a particularly cool situation.

I don't know, the only thing I can think of is that we're trying to take down an SK,and there's only one apparent nightkill action going on here. Blah. What do you think, Starkmoon?

neon.. i think 'eeeep'

we are basically left here to make the decision now i think...

on one hand ziliu and lloyd's tactic early on really annoyed me and made them seem incredibly scummy. I could go for the mason traitor idea except having read EVERY guards novel to date i have great difficulty seeing nobby as an SK. I know that probably isn't a great arguement however, and also that i shouldn't try outguessing the mod.. but come on.. petty thievery and morris dancing are about as scummy as nobby gets. Still... there is the chance of the mason traitor thing, and I am not ruling out that Ziliu is our bad guy. I also severely doubt that Lloyd got one name for nobby or that nobby was givewn as a safe claim for a bad guy role... nobby is far too nobby like to be mistaken for anything other than who/what he is...

bethelmark, I don't remember making an impression on me at all.. again as a character in the book i find it difficult to see him as the SK. Without spoilering the character could have been put in as a fall guy in the game. Similar to the occurances in the book.

I guess the only way to deal with this could be to treat the game as if it was a non-theme game. Re-read all of the posts and make judgements based on game play rather than combining game-play and character assumptions based on the theme...

In a sentance... I don't know which way we should jump on this one. But I will keep trying, and won't be voting till i am as sure as I can be.

Also... did Ziliu give any indication of coming back? Or is he gone for loing enough that we can't await his return?

Ziliu's gone until August 13th, so he won't be any help.

I don't know, it sucks that we pretty much have to choose between one of the two, and that's it, but...

I don't know. The only thing I can really think is that... well, trying to track down an SK, and our choices are someone with a known nightkill, and someone without one. I wasn't happy with the way the masons handled their mason-ness, either, but it is how it is.

Either way, I'll hold off until you make up your mind, and hopefully we can work something out.

it somehow seems almost TOO easy to pick the one with a night-kill... like i have all the puzzle except the most important piece... and all the puzzle so far is set up to point the wrong way.

I'm playing D&D tonight so probably won't have time to read up... will try tomorrow evening.

Also.. neon... completely off topic, but check out my kol-character.. i got my custom avvie the other day *grins*
