Pretty sure I'm not a newbie by anyone's definition, I just like newbie games. There are strategies and stuff that I don't know, but I think that's true of everyone.

I'd like an answer from NSG.

I feel I have started to do things, with my north side push, and now my ASP push. Interesting that Lapsa stated otherwise.

Mozamis was scum? Fuck.

Re-evaluation in progress. This may take a while.

the main difference is, among other things, that was my first game on the site. there's a bit more nuance to it, though - that game had a higher proportion of obvious townies and was far easier to sort by poe than this game, where i'm less confident about anything. anyone taking what you said as some kind of meta scumread is entirely ignoring the different contexts of the two games.

I misunderstood your "newbie claim" and you weren't scummy enough for extra attention

I don't think you are ignoring game context.
I think northsidegal gives crap reasoning and that you might be best to evaluate that properly

stay, please!

@Mod
I overreacted. Please ignore my request unless you already have someone lined up.

Right now I'm feeling VOTE: NSG. Going to ISO on the bus. I might be convinced to vote for ASP instead from what I remember off the top of my head, so I'll do him, too.

Lapsa, that whole "it doesn't matter" thing you said in response to N_M not being Bory is confusing. Are you basing your Transcend read entirely on him and not his slot overall, or...what?

agreed. it sucks

not entirely. gurgi didn't ping scum to me much either.
but yeah - mostly because it's like 4th or 5th game together w/ Transcend.
I do (naively) believe that I can read him fairly well.
he's bold and jumpy yet honest and wrong.
subtle tells of information deprivation is what pings town the most.
and he's fairly accurate on not going overboard with pushes

on Not_Mafia - I'm slightly less certain.
found bory to be more town than gurgi.
in a way - I find NM's play similar to Transcend's, just bit more cheeky.

e.g. their reaction to my replacement mixup is pretty much the same - NM just took 1 more additional step

also - I'm trying to open up because I think this is a good moment to strike and hijack the game
(and I welcome town to do so)

scum is crippled - there's vig going around and encryptor got removed

if I'm correct and indeed there was a plan to frame and flash lynch ASP - I have already raised suspicion of that

I expect scum to be extremely cautious and lurky this day.
situation is fragile and one sentence can ruin their game
(keep an eye on "oh, I was so busy" excuse posts in following days)

what makes you think asp was intended to be framed? where does the flash lynch part of that come in?

you realize saying this is entirely counterproductive, right?

I believe that Shinobi was a juicy scum target

I personally tunneled him out of fear.
his play seemed eerily subpar to what I expect from him yet big picture didn't come together and there really wasn't strong scumtells

also - it was sort of a tribute to our last game where I tunneled Titus whole game.
and I dislike voting townreads even if that helps to avoid no-lynch (speaking of impede, kokichi)

Transcend chose to tunnel Shinobi similarly as I did.
I guess part of the reason was to probe me

Shinobi had everlasting push on ASP which didn't gather much steam
(so I wouldn't call it a huge threat in ASP!scum scenario)
In post 595, northsidegal wrote: where does the flash lynch part of that come in?
northsidegal jumped on ASP vote pretty much immediately

I find such reaction fitting for panicking scum

NB:
in case that's not obvious - I'm speaking of framing in a general sense (vs actual Framer role)

I disagree

if town unites and opens up enough - in a long term that puts scum in a very awkward position.
there just won't be enough believable scumreads to make

but yes - that restricts scum hunting. can agree on that. trick here is to act quickly
(keep an eye on those who do dare to come forward)

i don't think this makes sense - presumably a juicy scum target would be someone that was obvious town, right? are you trying to say that you actually townread shinobi yesterday and day one?

why are you talking as if i wasn't the one who asked you (referring to me in the third person)?

it's certainly true that i voted asp as the first thing of the day, but i don't think at all that that shows an attempt by me to get a flashwagon going. surely if i were scum and that was my plan then i would have typed something up over the night and actually started pushing him today, wouldn't you think? also, what does "panicking" have to do with anything? if i'm scum here, why am i scared?

sometimes

if obvtown is influential and correct - then it's a juicy target.
I guess Nero would qualify

in Shinobi's case - I believe motive to be different.
which is - to make contagious chain of town scumreads on each other
In post 598, northsidegal wrote: are you trying to say that you actually townread shinobi yesterday and day one?
mix of always oscillating null, slight town/scum lean.
sounds convenient but I can't help that
