Yeah, posting the most common positions for scum and then who that would correspond to in this game in 326 felt like a really bad attempt at shade. In post 565, Titus wrote:I think Thor might be a good wagon. Why didn't you list me along with Enchant? I also picked 4. Couldn't we have been listed the other way around? In post 326, Thor Ragnarok wrote:Draft positions of 45 scum in 15 PYP games:

Looks dodgy to me. I'm more of a straightforward kind of guy.In post 579, Cat Scratch Fever wrote:Penguin's 534 implies he is doing something deliberate rather than blindly sheeping. Which is a post you later say you missed, but from his perspective, it looked like you were just ignoring it.
This is the last thing I'll say on the subject given that I want you to drop it. Calling someone a follower, then saying they're evasive and then saying "there's totally nothing wrong with being a 'follower', nope no bad connotations here" probably has a tendency to piss someone off. It also looks like you're trying to piss said person off. There is an inherent negative connotation in calling someone a "follower", and I think it would be bad faith to not recognize that.In post 577, House wrote:You seem to understand his perspective better than I, can YOU tell me how I came across in bad faith? In post 574, Miss Midnight wrote:Yes, he doesn't like your interaction and has been trying to turn it off. He made a clear "I'm going to follow the crowd" post, then got evasive when i asked him about it.
How does that make ME into the bad guy, here?
I mean, i replied with snark on his typo, but i missed whatever implication he was going for in the first part of the post.In post 579, Cat Scratch Fever wrote:Penguin's 534 implies he is doing something deliberate rather than blindly sheeping. All I'll say is that i believe this is a matter of opinion. In post 581, Miss Midnight wrote:There is an inherent negative connotation in calling someone a "follower", and I think it would be bad faith to not recognize that.
It doesn't matter what your opinion is of the meaning or connotation of the words you use, what matters is the interpretation of the people whom you're talking with. That's communication 101.In post 583, House wrote:All I'll say is that i believe this is a matter of opinion. In post 581, Miss Midnight wrote:There is an inherent negative connotation in calling someone a "follower", and I think it would be bad faith to not recognize that.
Following is not, in and of itself, a Bad Thing. There are very few things that are inherently Bad Things.
Context matters. That's what i was looking for.
I'd like to see his response to 578. That has me curious. In post 584, Cat Scratch Fever wrote:I agree it was subtle, so I believe you guys were genuinely talking past each other.

"bad guy" is not the phrase i'd use. penguin has been on his front foot so far this game, and intending to temporarily back-seat is clearly because he wants someone else to do something else. don't think it was deliberately bad faith-ey of you to assume he was slacking, but i do think there was more to his comment. In post 577, House wrote:You seem to understand his perspective better than I, can YOU tell me how I came across in bad faith? In post 574, Miss Midnight wrote:Yes, he doesn't like your interaction and has been trying to turn it off. I'd say his shade, if that's what it was, was ineffective, considering it looked like he stated a townread on you and has not voted any of the 3 players in that post.In post 576, Miss Midnight wrote:Yeah, posting the most common positions for scum and then who that would correspond to in this game in 326 felt like a really bad attempt at shade. In post 565, Titus wrote:I think Thor might be a good wagon.
