You won Open 44 because TylerJ was a complete idiot.

Yeah but before that step, I was not sure if you or aoiqwe were Dasq's partner. I made the decision based almost purely on a solid meta analysis of aioqwe.

Okay. Finished my re-read. No huge revelations.
Pug89 is really disappointing in this game. Semi-lurkerish and lazy play. He jumps on some bandwagons and most of his early posts just seem to be agreeing with other people. I still think this is the right lynch.
I don't like how Alabaska has been playing either, but enough has been said of that.
I noticed that TheHermit tries to fly under the radar a lot. When the suspicion on him is strong, it seems like he pops up to defend himself but then pops back down again. I haven't really seen any interest in scumhunting from him.
I really don't like shaft.ed's play. He kept his vote on Cyberbob for a while without providing much of an explanation. He was asked to elaborate somewhat around the time he made the vote and pretty much ignored the question. When he finally answered the question much much later, he basically said, "Oh, yeah, I'm neutral towards Cyberbob but I'm leaving my vote on him." Finally, I don't like the way that he says that certain people are scummy but doesn't really make cases on people. He seems to revel in planting seeds in people's heads that someone is scummy without saying much else. If he says it enough, people will believe it. Finally, he says he's a big fan of metas and then tries to criticize me for playing pretty much the same way I play in most games on Day 1. So, shaft.ed, how is my play here different than in Open 44 or Space Monkey Mafia? (And I was town in both of those.)
On the town side, I feel that Claus is strongly town. I have a good feeling about Cyberbob and I think m4yhem is also probably town.
I'm fairly neutral on all other players at this point, including iamausername and Twomz.

You make a good point here. I often meta things that stand out. Your play doesn't stand out so I didn't think about meta, but given my experience with you, you are playing rather like what I know if your pro-town meta. Now I just have to read up on your scum side. But for the time being, I'll down grade my suspicion of you.
Also you might want to read some other games I've played as scum. I've only done that subliminal thing once, but it happened to be to you. My CyberBob vote is very normal for me. I do not unvote unless there is a bandwagon forming that I do not like, or there is someone I would like to pressure with my vote. This games been rather low on signal for scumhunting thus far.
I ask anyone pushing the Pug lynch why they want to throw away a possible confirmed innocent, or better yet a shot at a guilty player.

I'm willing to help Claus. Pug lynch seems subpar based on the confirmed innocent.
Unvote, Vote Alabaska
This is unfortunately pretty default.

Ugh, sorry that reread took so long.
On further consideration, I'm not convinced of an Alabaska lynch. In the early game he gives me a strong town read, and though he's jumping at shadows I find it hard to see this as "scummy". He does seem, at the very least, earnest in his attempts to scumhunt, and nowhere is it written that townies have to always be right. I don't think he's scum.
I'm of two minds about Pug. On the one hand, he's definitely got enough suspicion that he could be scum. On the other hand, I'm not really sure what information we'd gain out of his lynch. I don't think we should keep him alive just because he can give someone an investigation power; it seems like that could backfire horribly if he was town and gave it to scum. I like the potential for information it gives us, but I don't like how it becomes yet another layer of WIFOM for us to deal with. I definitely prefer a Pug lynch to a No-Lynch.
I don't see an Twomz case at all. Sorry Claus, I know you're unhappy about not getting traction for this wagon but I just don't see it. Ditto IAUN.

tl;dr : I've got nothing better to do on the 6th and I live in EST, so if nobody else has hammered Pug by the deadline I will.

Pug > Alabaska
Pug = 1 free alignment reveal if he lives, same as we are getting from a lynch.

Even so, I think he is a better lynch.
Seriously, though, me over iamausername/Twomz?
Working on NabNab, sleep now.
Also, where do you live, Twomz? Hurricane's hitting me too; might not have to work (that would mean a NabNab case by tomorrow most def).

I'm not completely sold on the arguments here, though I am kinda lost on them to be honest.

RoleReasons Bad
Except the end result of lynching Pug today (1 alignment reveal + 1 death) is more or less the same as the result of lynching alabaska (1 alignment reveal + 1 death). The only issue comes with the investigation taking the place of a normal night action.

I guess you have to assume Pug gives a cop investigation to a non-scum player that lives through the night who targets someone who doesn't die.

'Kay, no really compelling arguements have emerged to chage my mind. I believe we can live without a confirmed innocent if we have to and I dislike making lynch choces based on role anyway.
Besides, Pug still looks scummy. My choice is then that I will stick.

Ok, so 12 hours late isn't
that
bad.
I'm not as convinced that keeping Pug alive will be so rosy; it leaves the door open for massive shenanigans if he's scum. Scenario that occured to me seconds after the idea was floated: Pugscum lives, gifts a buddy with NK-immune, says he gave buddy cop. Buddy comes up with a false scumhit, we mislynch. By the time anybody has a chance to do anything, it's D4 and we'd be in perilous LyLo or have lost. Even if it's played totally legit, we still won't have our confimed innocent until D3. The benefit is not as huge as others are making it out to be, and the danger is much more dangerous. (This is all assuming Pug is scum, of course)
I honestly have zero time to make a case on Alabaska right now (eat, run, work). My sincere apologies.

I don't have time right now, but if I'm still alive when I get back from work tonight I'll reread some of the other players with votes.
