Hey man, we have to find the little chances at hope in this despair fest of a game.

April self-admittedly intentionally made us miserable to "stop our momentum" or whatever and now has done jackshit all as "confirmed town" and neither has bulge.


So instead we're in this quagmire and hope is all I fucking have.

oh that reminds me, one of the things i wanted to ask plusjoyed about was whether he had any experience with a 'silencer' before because uh... i wouldnt have thought to go look up the wiki for a role i'd never seen before on the off chance it existed there

going back and looking at the end of yesterday / start of today was ultimately one of the reasons i was fine voting plusjoyed

I've had offsite experience with a silencer. The wiki has gone back and forth. When I was a 3rd party silencer (what a dumb role) mafiascum wiki said it was usually scum role. When I thought about inflicting that role on a game, mafiascum wiki said it was usually a town role. It's flipped back to scum.

I have no idea what that's about.

But, having looked that page over multiple times, it didn't strike me as odd that someone else would go looking for it. Maybe it is, though.

i don't really think gif matters there; i think it's a possibility anyway. still think that's better dealt with in a lylo situation than beforehand (though highly dependent on whatever role caused mariaboy's exit dying - i'd be wary of getting anywhere near lylo with that role still in play even if it is incredibly unlikely it's not heavily gated)

yeah but id never heard of the role before, even though i've seen different abilities of a similar nature before - it never occurred to me that someone had named it or that the name would be on MS and even if i thought it might be named and on the wiki, i don't even know where i'd even start looking for it

i guess if i were looking through all the roles on the wiki i might eventually find it but i uh... dunno why i would do that for a role id never seen before? it's not like the wiki covers every role ever

I'm not really trying to convince you that was a bad perspective to have about plusjoyed popping up with the role.

the wiki search function is a thing. I'd have tried things like "can't vote can't post" and probably "kidnapper" just to see if anything similar to that role popped up, if I weren't familiar with the role. And I would have looked at the big lists of roles to see if a name jumped out at me.

In other words, if I weren't familiar with the role already, I would have done some wiki searching. That's a thing I do. Maybe it's a thing Plusjoyed does?
