Hey, great job on taking it home, town.

Apologies about my lack of presence on my last day alive. For a lot of reasons, I've found it pretty hard to give it my all these last few months. That being said, I'm proud of myself when it comes to my reads.
In post 5777, the worst wrote:wrt AtE I don't ate to advance my position any more than I need to. I might have tried some sneaky shit at endgame if needed but my vent at brown eyes was 100% earnest. Lurk culture is both unfun and weak. BE got two scum kills because she had a triplevig and that is all. She had a correct 100% scumread on me, per dead chat came into a day where I was a clear lynch, and utterly failed to get a wagon off the ground.

If BE sticks around I think she'll have a dozen towngames better than this one in no time at all. This was an ok performance but the only part she should be proud of was heavily mechanically augmented.
It's not as if I was able to make some grand effort to push your lynch and failed – I simply could not be there at all. Yes, I failed to get a wagon on you, but I would consider it because of a lack of presence rather than a failure of effort.

I think regardless of how much I was able to push my reads, my accuracy is something I should be proud of, and I'm a little surprised to see you say otherwise. If someone were 100% accurate in a game but was ignored by everyone, would you tell them that they have nothing to be proud of?

Anyways, good game to all. Wonderful moderation by RC, in terms of the setup, the game ambiance, and keeping up with votecounts.

I enjoyed playing with all of you, even those with whom I frequently disagreed.

Brown Eyes: sorry if that came across as overly belittling. You should definitely be proud of your read accuracy. I was talking abt it as a "moment" thing and outside of the triplevig you weren't very effective (understand real life happens, obviously not shading that).

For what it's worth I'm terrified of rolling scum against you again.. :P

Btw, PB, figure you have or will read the dead PT anyway, but to put it in the main thread:

I'd like to point out that my reaction test to you didn't place you in lynching range, whereas yours on me, did. HOWEVER, that having been said?

Turnabout is fair play, as the saying goes.
I actually tip my hat off to you, good sir. I say, and insist, I would do it all again, because it is a valid tactic and one of my best weapons at my disposal, one which I insist is worth using. You were not the first I've used it on and you shall not be the last. Having it used on me, ironic as it is, I see as something incredibly nod-worthy, worth praising.

And when I said, "You're literally playing like me".
You were probably laughing your ass off because yeah--you
were
, just
intentionally
rather than accidentally as I had assumed.

Well-played, but if you think this means I won't use the tactic in the future, sorry to say that you only proved that the tactic's effective. :P
Basically, I very much approved. :P

I mean.
Game was on auto-win.
Dannflor was conftown to me.
He was conftown because the worst and Dannflor both claimed that vending tea would confirm that someone was not human...and Dannflor had already vended to me.

Thus, no need to lynch Dannflor, because by the worst's own claim, Dannflor was conftown AND his mechanic was proven true.

Thus, there were only two unconfirmed players: the worst, and Chemist.
With five alive and two lynches.

It was impossible for the town to lose the game.

I'd have been utterly indifferent as to which of Chemist/the worst we lynched first, because I'd know that scum were in an auto-lose regardless, so I'd listen to Dannflor/roster's preferences once explaining to them that, yes, the game was on lock.

So, killing you'd have made no difference, really.
Just would cause the loss in a different way. :P

I mean, yeah, but.
It allowed Brown Eyes to murder half the scumteam, so.
Can't say I'm too guilt-ridden over it. :P

To be honest, without the Something_Smart mislynch D2, we probably lose this game.
We probably DO lynch Reasonably Clever, sure, yeah, and we probably DO lynch Skygazer, but we do it at inopportune moments and the players that became obvtown for their deaths when they died probably don't become obvtown in that gamestate. Papyrus also becomes less likely a lynch, and so too does the worst become less likely a lynch.

Oh absolutely yes.
Do you think anyone else should be included?
There were many town players who played really well in many ways, for instance, roster killing it with really good reads; Dannflor identifying deepscum fairly early; Wiisp being ridiculously accurate at a time (albeit backing off); etc.
That'd be my only question for the nom, but even if literally every town player except for Brown Eyes were excluded from the award...Brown Eyes should be nominated for that award, because, again. Without that double-scum-vig, we probably never win the game.

I more or less say, basically, "not really balanced, but I did the best I could", which ends up with swingy-as-fuck setups that usually get a minimum of two or three balance complaints. :P

I thought this as well. I did eventually come to townread SS's reaction to the supposed "guilty", but I figured that no matter his alignment the outcome of his lynch would be beneficial. At one point I even considered quickhammering him, but eventually decided that it would unnecessarily reveal myself as more likely to be Sans.

Actually, that's something I'm wondering. Who did the scumteam think did the vig shots?

Pretty much my criticism of myself, too, yeah, but I'd like to point out the silver lining; no need to be accurate if your levels of obvtown are that high. (See also, apparently the reason Team RWBY was the N1 nightkill?)

I feel like this was an uncontroversially pleasant game. Sad that RWBY can't just queue again since Taly is taking a break rn.

I'd still say simply being in this hydra was one of the more wholesome experiences I've been a part of on this site.

Hope Ruby recovers from finals soon :o

Yeah I read it in the dead thread and I think it's a great reaction after being against the ropes because of me. It does work, I agree with you! You obvtowned with your reaction. I only disagree on the execution, like, I didn't want to make you feel the way you probably felt with my push, or at least I don't like doing that usually. But you played nice when needed, you solved Papyrus from my point of view.

In post 5815, Pink Ball wrote: But you played nice when needed,
To be honest--that's mostly just luck of the draw. :P

By that, I mean: luck of timing of real-life stuff compared to game stuff.

If I am in a serene mood, a mafia game can sour my mood if I am feeling particularly nasty about it...
...But this is a two-way street; if a mafia game is leaving me in a nasty mood, then if I am made more serene by an outside force...suddenly, the bliss from that can leave me feeling much much "nicer".

In other words: I went from nasty in-game to out-of-game stuff which made me nice, and that niceness wasn't ruined by returning to the game--the lucky draw, best way things could've gone.

I very easily could've gone from out of game nice stuff to nasty in-game stuff and
stayed
in-game with nothing to break the nasty mood.

I am, after all, usually a toxic asshole when left to my own devices.
I can't control when I'm nice/nasty (I can theoretically try to
hide
it, because you can try to hide emotions and nice/nasty are emotions, but hiding them doesn't remove their base existence); it's usually best to assume the latter will be a given unless by freak circumstances I am fortunate enough to manage the former. :P
