Yeah they made a high risk play after a bad break and we're in a tough spot.

I'm just glad I don't have to eat a hat

I don't remember what we decided on this or not in the SSC tbh.
Go nom it and we'll decide later.
I feel like it would be weird to have this game be apart of the 2021 scummies season when this is an 2020 game and we gave a week extra of time to let people get last minute noms in and to let games that are almost finished finished.

this game 100% deserves a game of teh year award tho
some of the best play on site came from this game tbh, both some good play from town and good play from scum.
Gloria had a really good D3 its just a shame that the masonry really wasn't buying it (tho I think they almost were)

I think the DEB crumbs coming after the Bell case by Pichu was a mistake in retrospect, it might have been better to just not crumb. Plus there wasn't a way to explain how Bell claimed detective if DEB was a real detective. Unless the plan was to make Bell look better by flipping DEB instead? But hectic had a guilty right? So unfortunately that idea would have been dead on arrival

Does death curse have a game of the year nom?

Both have been excellent and I'm glad to be a part of them :)

Yeah, Supersaint Enabler claim and the slot I was trying to guilty just kinda ended it.

And full vig was annoying.

I gave 2 goons because I expected game to be balanced around it.

Supersaint, Ascetic Multitasking Alien were our PR's

Supersaint Enabler made Supersaint incredibly pointless. I almost went Vengeful, but again, I was trying to stay low power.

I nommed town for moment of brilliance and there was one Kodak nom for the bell vig shot. No ones done a game of the year for dc tho.

btw so I have a draft typed up of basically me explaining my thought processes when it comes to teh game and how I approach it
that's coming to MD soon.

pedit: The supersaint enabler felt suuuuuuuuper overkill tbh.

town had 7 prs and an enabler to one of our prs.

and we had 2 prs...

multitasking ascetic alien is strong
so is the supersaint

but why does town need an informed multitasking player
why does town need a supersaint enabler

Vanilla cop also could have really fucked us over if we didn't kill pichu N2

I think limiting the vig to 1/2 shot and removing supersaint enabler would have made it more balanced

(I don't think this is the reason we lost at all though)

About half the scumteam were prs, so I made half the town PRs. Almost all the PRs were mislynchable. The flips revealed that any type of ridiculousness would not be ccable.

The town PRs were ridiculously weak or usually negative utility. The vig only hit town, as designed.

Town blocked very heavily here, which was a huge factor.

More notes on my setup design are in the mod PT.

I think Supersaint is enough of a surprise that town should have some warning about it. As far as informed townie goes, that role could've definitely been dropped and the setup would be roughly the same.

I do think the setup is overall balanced to a reasonable standard. 13-4 requires quite a bit of town power (as opposed to 10-3), and scum did have some powerful tools. Maybe a full vig is a little bit too much; as Blade Dancer points out, the other roles, especially the cop, were quite gated.

I think if that was the setup, though, Dunnstral, Solstice, and Toogeloo would have all been fades. Solstice wasn't being town read when we were going to guilty them.

I checked out hard around that time.
