Also for anyone curious about Reimu talking from the gap...
In role PM
Reimu: Hello, SXTLHGaiden, nice to meet you. So I got this red alignment card. I feel like the envelope was switch or something, but it really doesn't matter. Let's get this "mafia" thing started!
Tewi: Hiya! You're Varsoon, right? Hehehe, I switched the alignment card with someone else for you! Aren't I a good girl?
21 Mima (Evil Spirit(?)*****| Get more power by completing objectives) [None]
- God of Hakurei : Gets [investigative-immune] if kill "Bad"
- Reincarnation : Gets [2-shot Bulletproof] if you are a part of lynching "Good."
- Trinity Spark : Gets [1-shot Strongman] if [Marisa Kirisame] and [Yuuka Kazami] are still alive by Day 3.
- Twilight Spark : Gets [1-shot Dayvig] if all the objectives are accomplished.
* = See next section. Also Marisa can't steal from same person more than once.
** = You can only ask yes/no question about the setup.
*** = Odd night - to town. Even night - to Mafia. Can't use the item the same night when the item is given.
**** = Gets Guilty/Not Guilty.
***** = Wins if only one surviving or in 1:1:1 situation.

there was no way for a town win in this game so i don't know what the people in the dead QT were on about near the end
if i was lynched on the final day, AD had no choice but to shoot at town (he couldn't shoot at scum) and if he shot at town and mafiassk shot at him (or did anything except no kill) then town was going to lose
anyway, gg, i had fun - i know it probably wasn't the most fun for town but *shrug*

Hey Dan, what's up man, this is a letter from a fan
I been watchin' you play in Touhou Fantasy Land!
All your friends were here too, waiting for your sick beats
But instead you pulled a Mima and lurked to your defeat
I mean holy shit, why can't you post a bit?
Claiming was your own idea so enjoy your salt lick!
Remember when we began, you were the Action Man
Posting 400 words and always banging out the plans
Now you need a new name, how's No-Effort Dan sound?
12 in Setup Speculation, 1's in looking like you're Town?
You never stood a chance going up against Z
When it comes to being funny he's got the popularity
So you zoned, got owned, town groaned and you've flown
You shoulda known! Let it play out and see how it would have gone!
What is this, six times now you've tried to make a deal?
And the scum just fly in, take the win with a steal?
So from all of your friends, please take some friendly advice
Don't claim, play the game and stop rolling off the dice.

there is really not much to say really. I would say well played scum, but no, you won cos town sucked.
pie, I told you this in the dead qt, I really wish you wouldn't beat yourself up the way that you are. I think you came really close to figure things out and at 1 point you did. I think you did the best that you could have done and that is all that anybody can ask.
I apologise to town for the hydra dissonance. it was pretty terrible and it really just created a bunch of unneeded noise. I thought borky would have been a more grounding presence between majiffy and I but no. I genuinely felt bad fro majiffy when we got the result on muffina cos he realised his reads were screwed. he even posted as much and just sort of gave up I think. that really should have been the clue that
yaye stuff in the game:
hydra-ing with borky. if there is 1 person on this site who can drag my feet back to earth and engage with me in a way that inspires confidence it is borky. it was awsum to get to know him better. <3
working with cabd once I got over my paranoia of him. I remember it being really pleasurable and encapsulated all things that I love about mafia. it was brief but it was good. sadly it will probably never happen again.
bubba's townread. I felt confident about that read and was glad that I outshouted majiffy's scumread on him. at 1 point I thought he was going to be the 1 to pull through to a town win but then he got lynched. :/
you played really well bubba.
the moment I realised that nearly all of the scum were at the reckoning lol. I didn't know how to handle it really, I didn't want to go after kise cos I was too busy flirting with him and cok I just had a weak spot for both players. I was okay with cok getting lynched cos I was pretty sure that they were scum but in hindsight I think it gave muffina room to discredit our
bakery
breadcrumb guilty read. if any1 ever wonders why sometimes I special claim early this game is an absurdly good example as to why. I actually wanted to out us and fake a guilty on danny when we got that inno on serene cos I felt like I understood what they were seeing in danny. I think it would have been funny and ironic given how many times I have complained against people fake claiming guilties/roles. borky felt a more conservative approach was best and he is probably right, but we probably should have outed our guilty on muffina. oh well.
there are some players on this site that I feel like if we agree on a read then I tend to treat it as a cop view, dgb is 1 of those players.
not so yaye moments:
fery's replace out was pure and complete bullshit. I never insulted her in this game. I got dirty with her in a game that was concurrent with this 1 and I chalked it up to that even tho I was hydra-ing with nacho at the time and I was like DO YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN SHE FREAKING STARTS IT ALL OF THE TIME and he was like YESSSS in that game. I have it in our chatlog.
remembrance's replace out; not sure what the back story on that is I guess now I can pm him and ask him why and hope that he remembers lol.
fery being allowed access to the dead qt; from my understanding on this site once you replace out you are out and no longer are a part of the game.
chamber's suggestion in the dead qt that I must have *overheard* him, mala and kise talking and that is why I had them all as scum or something to that effect. if I had overheard them I would have replaced out and not said a word to either hydra partners and then smugly let them know that I was suspicious of them all along cos I was. it had to do with how reckoning interactions did not translate to this game.
anyways thanks for the game I guess.
also I feel like I am being ungracious with muffina's win after
crying
talking on the phone with desp yesterday I suppose it takes balls to directly work against a flipped cop's read when they made it kind of clear that he was scum. I am not quite sure how that happened.

I try to remember to offer dead qt to replaced-out people as a courtesy and to prevent rep-outs to joining back into the game.
kise, who got force-replaced, also got an access to the dead QT.

The worst was that I knew Muffin had me, but I couldn't win it. I just let him do his do.

I replaced out because I couldn't sleep. Due to my schedule most of my mafia thinking had to be done at night in bed (which is where my unhinged play stems from). That backfired, so I replaced out of all my games. It did not have to do with you instantly discerning I was a bad girl with Kise, though I was very impressed and totally called that you would spot me in like 5 minutes in our QT. Nor did it have to do with the heated argument, though, I put my alignment on the back seat for that one. I feel bad about this game, given I left after saying I would try as hard as I could. My bad.

*shrug* i've seen this a fair bit lately and i think it's really, really bad play on a theory level - if you have a guilty on someone, you should really be pushing it and no one else; anyone else you think is scum can wait. the fact that there was an angle i could push to muddy the waters on top of my claim and other stuff meant that, with some help from nacho, i was able to at least spread doubt about your result
i also think it's especially bad play in what was obviously a role madness game where there was basically guaranteed to be some sort of protective role (and, not including the mafia inventor, there was a full doc and a modified-JK) and given you were odd-night, you would have had to survive til D4 to get another result anyway?
it's something i noticed across a lot of games, but people really value keeping their roles hidden for nonsensical reasons when it seems far better to just have all the information on the table (PV seems to do this a lot and i've cringed both times i've seen him do it - particularly in gondolin, where tierce was able to spread a little doubt because of PV's pure derp - tierce got lynched anyway, but that shouldn't be possible); it baffles me when i see it happen

(also i'm not saying you necessarily needed to claim, but at the very least if your plan was to not claim, then leave
absolutely no room
for ambiguity)

It seemed to me like claiming cop to the scumteam but hiding it from town. There's no way they wouldn't see that as an investigator with a guilty.
Essentially faking a guilty on AD (which happened to be correct) was also problematic. The most obvious interpretation of the events of day 2 given the flipped cop and known motivate was that you had investigated both muffin and AD, but your behavior toward AD cast that interpretation into doubt. There was no reason to think one of the investigates had been lost.
