My prevailing theory is to prevent neighborize. Titus said it acts as a protection. Having it be an alien also stops invests hitting there.
I just don’t think one shot balances out against everything the 3P has and the ascetic balances so well.

Update: Maybe shelly's Town here. I don't usually put much (any?) weight on "tone" but 5954 strikes me as more townish than not.
But anyway, that would be sorted soonish hopefully.

Contradiction implies lack of a plan. You're right that I didn't intend to focus on reads but that doesn't mean I won't get some on the side, and the best kinds of reads are the ones that you don't force anyway.
Your rule should be that contradiction is towny, because the person cares more about doing what they feel like doing in the moment than about projecting a consistent story.

A50, you're free to execute me if it'll sooth your raging ego, but just recognize that Titus is apparently the one person on this entire damn site who can actually read me consistently. That was the case pre-LOA, and that's apparently the case post.
So maybe you should just screw off and actually hunt for scum instead of just OMGUSing because I don't believe that your faction is town aligned.
