In post 8145, The Fox and the Hound wrote:So, here's what I'm thinking (most of it's pretty obvious, but I'm going to go ahead and say it anyway!)
I don't think any of Titan, JSU, CF, AP make much sense at all as scum, but with the only scum possibilities left being PA and RG, something's obviously up. In the first group of four, I'm leaning towards AP being the scum, but for now I want to lynch PA or RG and I don't really care which. The chances of more than one scum being in that first group is like !!! and yeah no I don't think I'm going to consider it. JSU/AP could work but I really don't think JSU is scum based on play so there's that.
If Ceph has a particular inclination between RG and PA then he can go wherever his heart leads him.
Like, I normally use caution in lylo.
But I'd be flat-out clenching my first, biting my lips, and fighting my bodily urges so hard that my eyes tear up to cry...
Just to stop myself from voting them for it.

(And, no, this is not with spoilerz knowledge that they're scum.
They were scum to me as soon as PV became obvtown.
Okay, so technically PV became conftown before obvtown, but still, I didn't need the mod to tell me PV was town, when his posting made it clear once he buckled down.
And it made me INSTANTLY put Fox/Hound back in, pretty much.)

I'm extremely, extremely sorry.
Oh, YOU have nothing to be sorry for.
I said in my ranting above that I hold no ill will to the scum players. Not AP, Not Fox/Hound, and not you either.
I knew exactly why you did what you did. (Okay, not exactly. But I had a fairly good idea.) Admittedly, I didn't see it coming like that; I was surprised that you did reveal yourself and I knew.
Knew
I was screwed after that. But I knew why, so wasn't at all hurt by it.

Actually, this game is serving as the foundation for not one, not two, but THREE MD articles, believe it or not. One describing my scumplay (which I did in this game, in conjunction with L4D), and a couple of others that can help basically tackle what I see as a central problem...not just in this game, but ALL games across the site right now.
So it did push me a lot. It initially pushed me to sorta ruin my life.
...But it also served to be a catalyst in pushing me to change my approach to the game as a result, when I realized that problem, that fundamental problem, existing in my methodology before.

Yeaaaaaaah.
If you've read this thread so far, then you saw the bit where I described how I was pushed PAST my breaking point of frustration this game and
snapped
, in large part because I
was
seeing the bullshit. I WAS stressing out about being clear, being focused, having myself in the know...and it not working.
Clarity on Tammy, F-16, Rancid, Mac, AP, Fox/Hound, RG, and later Pie (with JSU joining in at the very end) all things that I got fairly quickly on D1. (And that's just the players I can think of off the top of my head!) Clarity on you and clarity on ffery, I gained on D2.
That's really only four players I didn't have clarity on. (PA, Mara/Orc, PV, and someone else. I'm forgetting which slot.)
Admittedly, after you began pushing me, I began to lose that clarity because I was degrading emotionally at a rapid rate.
But I could tell that I was pushing in the right direction. (For instance...PV was on his way out of my scumlist on D2. PA was on her way in. Fox/Hound got out and I mistakenly placed RG in thanks to paranoia about a red gyarados [:P], but again, Fox/Hound out and RG in are things that were emotion-based, whereas PV out and PA in were logic-based.)

Oh, right.
Katsuki.
Kats clarity also came on D1.

Yet people felt that I would somehow play sub-optimally as scum, which was lolzy.
In fairness all the scum were probably on the wagon, but the other 3 town players should be hanging their heads in shame.

Like, you can see the progression. In here, my reads are okay, but not great.
In here, they've improved a little bit, and are beginning to hone in--PV's scumread decaying. Though Fox/Hound and PA are up on the list, further than they started, the actual logic I was using was beginning to show the right picture.
Here it's even better. AP's in scum, with PA and Fox/Hound hanging out at 4/5...and me realizing that my scumteam of bottom-4 is likely not all correct...and me (correctly) saying one of Stalin and Fox/Hound is scum.
Look here with that in mind. Five names...and thinking Stalin town with a perceived waver on orc. Leaving...AP, PA, and Fox/Hound. (Also, Totally called that.) Near the end of my P3 iso, I begin to take the road of reason, which...doesn't go well immediately, but does take effect on page three.
And here I saw Nacho's scum colors showing, with the neighborhood news. And here they were for sure. (You could also kinda tell by looking at my whole interactions that Nacho was fading. For instance, when calling AP's post voting Kagura scum, I said "kagura's alignment aside". (If my Nacho townread was still holding, I would have placed much heavier emphasis on it being scum-voting-town.) And I was not interacting with him. I was interacting with every townread and even players not-so-townread, trying to get them working with me, yet I wasn't working with Nacho. Because he was fading. And I still think this holds, btw. PV begins to move out. The VCA here is terrible...but the interactions not. AP-Nacho. Nacho-orc unlikely.
By here, I'm up some and down some...
but
, critically, I acknowledged as much. Right point on Clyton, wrong conclusion. This is in reference to PA-being-scum, too, in that "Jake of this game" means 'scum claiming they can read me and that this is my scumgame'.
And after that, I got too emotional to ever lock things down. The constant stream of bullshit I was slammed with (because 95% of what everyone was saying about me
was
bullshit) left me broken to the point where I couldn't pause, think, and realize that my theory on RG was stupid, and that I hadn't given a readslist/reasoning list in ages. (If I had, Fox/Hound's absence would have been jarring.)
It got ignored in favor of someone else's bullshit masonry. (Mighta been the neighborhood.)

(Yes, it's been up for only three hours. But that should be the official video and thus, not go down. And as an added bonus, it's got the lyrics built into the video. [Rather interestingly, too.] So having seen the lyrics...I can confirm that, yes.
It IS an appropriate song for this game. )

Clyton did a much better scumjob than Penguin is doing.
@Tammy- ditch new Tammy and bring back 2yearsago Tammy. please!
Don't think I'm at the policy-lynch-just-for-safety's-sake on AP yet, but I definitely think I picked up a scumtell of his. Nice bit if info.

Especially when.
Y'know.
The player who has THE most experience with AP and understands him more intimately than ANY other player.
Says he's scum.

In Fox/Hound's defense?
There are sections in the game where they had a
really
good tone.
And also (very, very brief) sections of having good points.
Butyeah, fully agree overall.

no, really, there weren't
and you know what disappoints me most about this game
is i set them up for that fucking elementalhawk vote
and explained exactly why it made them scum with AP
and CF went back and saw this and acknowledged it
and it's being ignored

Just like everything else the dead have said.
Except F-16 appears to be randomly trolling by reading our isoes, picking up random irrelevant pieces, and
not focusing on the fucking reasons we were saying those things
, which is arguably worse than being ignored. It's an acknowledgement of existing but a "fuck you".
TWO CAN PLAY THAT GAME, F-16. FUCK YOU!

Oh, you're planning on lynching her.
You'll not get the chance.
BECAUSE PLANNING TO LYNCH CONFIRMED FUCKING SCUM AND VOTING TOWN IN LYLO IS A BAD FUCKING IDEA.

I didn't know that's my advice!
My advice to self is to know when to stick to my reads and when to listen to other players I think are town. If I had a better sense of when to do those things, I'd be a better player.
