Of your scum games, Children of Hurin, Mini 2023, Micro 829 (the prequel to this), and NY 213.

Town games, I've read Minis 2030 and 2027 and we've played in Witches Ball, Dolphins, and Boundaries of Reality.

pocket you in particular or pocket townies in general?

Pocketing townies in general seems like the basic definition of scum play, but I would say scum target me in particular because I tend to have presence. Or at least that's what 2040 made me feel.

Yeah that's why you gotta actually talk to him about the content in real time. Like he makes the post full of questions and then almost no one actually responds. I do think it would help if he did @tags for each question because I think some people might miss them

like as far as i can tell the only people you have history with itg are gamma and nsg (maybe not_mafia too; idk); scum who don't know you wouldn't have much reason to try to pocket you because you have presence; they wouldn't necessarily know that

like i guess it kinda makes sense that you think scum!nsg might try to pocket you and that you think it's kinda townie of her to not be doing that but it feels a little weird to me that you think scum in general would specifically try to pocket you here?

i guess i'm not entirely following why you think scum would make a point of pocketing you in particular in a pl that you're mostly unfamiliar with (unless i'm missing something and you're familiar with more people than gamma and nsg; i don't know you; tdw seems new (or an alt), same with robot; tess and raya haven't played for months, and yuriko for years))

probably not. i've read in the past a scumthread where the advice given to pocket me was to just talk reads with me, so if anything i tend to avoid townreading people off of that kind of real time interaction.

maybe you could describe why you're playing your towngame this game over your scumgame?

i think in general most of the people i consider obvious scum that others miss are people that spend a lot of time talking about their reads but have nothing of value in them and that's pretty much how I feel about robot in this game, he's put a lot of busywork into trying to seem townie but there's nothing in there that says he has to be town to me.

No, one of the scum that tried to pocket me in that last game had never played with me before, and the other did not explicitly tell him to try to pocket me either, that was just how they played

and shortaru did not know me either, and he didn't know radiantcowbells, but scum wincon was letting the other two scum distance him and then have him try to hard pocket RC and then eventually try to buddy me

scum try to hard pocket me based on the early game phase, not because of existing meta is what I'm saying here.

TDW if you can convince me that skitter is town then i would go with a {nsg, raya, tdw, skitter, someone} coalition

obviously having a good agreement on who that someone should be would also help

i don't know if i have a good enough grasp to even say something very definitively myself (which in and of itself is a reason for me to be hesitant to townread her)

i think the way you've talked about the pocketing kinda makes sense from the perspective of the two towngames you've been mentioning

i tend to get townread pretty easily by scum; i'm pretty rarely pushed for a mislynch because i'm very hard to mislynch; idk if they explicitly try to pocket me so much as just blasely townreading me

idk if i've ever really thought about the game from the outset as: scum are likely to try to pocket me here so i'll be wary of that; that's kinda why i was probing the pocketing thing because i don't think i've realy approach a game as town that way
