I think cmod should use the ability on himself/ his strongest townread to raise speed or on Gamma to raise strength (if I interpret that speed drop correctly).

Because it wasn't trying to be an explanation? You're all acting like Gamma gave you some sort of insider information about the game mechanics and therefore his word is golden but...all he did was reword some stuff that was already in the rules.

Did you
not
know that activating/destroying labs with Knowledge was a key mechanic? Hell, if I were scum I'd either sabotage the shit out of someone (like Nos) or use a +1 Knowledge to frame someone.

Further, we know from GeorgeBailey's N0 Knowledge boost that there are other methods of increasing that stat aside from the obvious one. It's entirely likely that there's a Town-aligned player with the ability to boost or reduce Knowledge scores too.

Lets not get too confused, I think the post 6 rule is saying that we don't know what number the Doctors need to Activate a lab, all we know is that they need a knowledge roll

worked out the probability of de-activating a lab with various knowledge statistics:

It's rather unlikely we are able to destroy activated labs without boosting someone to at least five-knowledge.

also knowing what we now know about the scum having a room-blocking ability - I think it is likely that the first lab remained inactivated after N1 because scum used their roomblocker to keep out anyone who may have tried to destroy the lab - if this is true and nobody reported it, that kind of implies nobody tried to destroy the lab? which is kind of funny in some ways.

The fact two labs ended up being activated is why I had the thought now. Before then it would have merely been conjecture, as stats likely have several uses. With that evidence of the labs, it becomes a situation of “what enabled them to activate 2 in one night?”, which is where my thoughts come in.
I was also attacked by scum last night, so I’m more inclined to present any information I think is helpful now versus later.

Real convenient hearing that from you. But to clarify, my ability allows activation/destruction without losing a speed stat action. I haven’t explicitly confirmed this, but there’s nothing indicating one couldn’t do this as well as using the speed stat actions to activate one.
The thing that implicates you isn’t having elevated knowledge by itself. It’s having it when 2 Labs got activated. That tells me scum managed to meet the number to activate not once, but twice, which makes me think they had raised knowledge. In addition it’s quite possible that the same scum activated both through a speed stat action and the role I have.
In addition, you just generally haven’t done much to solve the game. I understand you’re very commonly not an active player these days, but you’re not contributing even still from what’s been seen so far.

...probably unlikely to plan for that exact moment, yeah? it doesn't seem like the setup you want to go for in something like this; it's too specific and there are a myriad of things as we've seen that can impact something like that.
