That misread of my role PM was actually honest, although I guess ended up working against me.
What wasn't honest was Sajin. You said you were a tracker when you were a cop. I also thought there was a redirector in this game that redirected my attempted kill of Sajin last night to tony or whatever. Turns out it was blocked by the doc, and our SK must have killed tony. That actually had a significant effect on my strategy, because my actions during/after I claimed were designed to try to figure out who that redirector was so that I could make sure Sajin died the next night. (Also I'd be confirmed scum to him so he'd have to go.) If I had known it was a doc instead, I would have just shot Sajin.
I also don't understand why Gorrad gave me a shoot power when one-shot day kill vig makes no sense given the rest of the role setup. It meant that as soon as I used it, it would give me away. It could at least go to night phase and buy me some time.
I should also mention that Kise and myself were working under the assumption that we had a secret godfather and we thought it was Snow White. I figured I had the game in the bag after I shot Locke because I figured even if I got lynched, SW could pull the win if I distanced myself enough. Once I saw that SK I knew I was boned.
Sajin, so you had a guilty verdict for me N3, but was it a flavored verdict or was it straight guilty? Trying to figure out if the Vincent claim managed to fool anybody.
Anyway GJ town.

Mod Notes (the abridged, going back out of town version):
1. Sajin never fails to surprise me with his chutzpah. Claiming tracker instead of straight-cop took serious balls, and frankly I'm still not sure why he did it. When he did, I actually went back to his role PM and made sure I hadn't put a tracker in the setup.
2. Vino's ability was made for if he was completely caught as scum. Ideally, if he was taken out first, then he could take out the most pro-town player to make it easier for his partner. If it had ended the day, it would have given the mafia two free kills instead of one, something I definitely did not want.
3. I want to hear y'all's opinion of the semi-open setup. It's a new thing, but I'm considering using it again later. Did y'all feel it added or subtracted from the game?
I have more, but I'm already late. See y'all when I next get a vacation from limited tech on the 30th.

Due to setup balance I think we would not have a doctor. So I claimed tracker so as to give the mafia some serious wifom about killing me (as well as to get information from Kise). Then again we DID have a doctor. Not that I could of known it, but claiming tracker with the mafia daykiller around probably helped give me the extra day. The setup probably did not have a tracker given that I was a cop, so it was reasonably safe.
(Side note, Locke, in the smalltown FF6 setups on xylbot in #mafia, is always a tracker)
My results were innocent on Kairyuu (n1), Roleblocked (N2), guilty on Vino (N3). (go back and look when I was talking with Kise, I breadcrumbed the innocent result- "If I was a cop then yes Kairyuu would be innocent". I even breadcrumbed todays result.)
I really thought it was a 3 man mafia for the longest time. Due to the 1 kill a day. I then figured we were dealing with a roleblocker+GF and something. My suspicion of Kairyuu served another purpose as to unlikely get my innocent killed...if he was not the mafia godfather.
I claimed tracker in order to get Kise's full claim. I knew I was roleblocked and a town roleblocker had already died and he claimed he targeted me. My case was really on this. Although I did use the mod meta to convince everyone else of it. When he actually claimed that he roleblocked me I never let go of my vice grip.
And that humors me Vino, you thought you did kill Tonymontana. Also you have to consider using your ability in a protown manner. If you had daykilled someone day 1 then I would of had no reason to suspect you. I received a straight guilty verdict. Make of that what you will.
About the open setup- I was (incorrectly) trying to figure out who any other power roles were the whole game. I kept thinking Kairyuu was a doctor (Rosa) or a mafia godfather (Golbez would make a ton of sense).
@Kairyuu- I did not get 2 tracker results in a row .
@Gorrad- setups need a cop counter. A GF, a miller, both or something else. This is more true with a cop/doc combo. Did the SK have any advantages?

Ok.
Why in the HELL was I killed N2?
I mean, seriously? I wasn't producing anything and never finished the analysis I was trying to do to catch up. I thought I'd have a lot to answer for when D3 started. So why did I die?

Given that there were 2 kills going around its likely the SK killed you. Dunno though.UncertainKitten wrote:Ok.

Even then. Why me? There are better targets for either SK OR Mafia.Sajin wrote:Given that there were 2 kills going around its likely the SK killed you. Dunno though.UncertainKitten wrote:Ok.

Wow. Im actually really happy Vino was hung. Kinda disappointed i couldnt participate in the lynch but yay!!!
As for the set up i thought it was really creative. Especially Vino's role. Apart from this i dont know what else to say im not that progressed here.
Only thing that really ruined the game for me was lurkers. And i got annoyed at the game for that. I dont think i can ever say that enough. But after Sajin claim i think i tried to recover.
With Vino's role i think that he could have more or less waffled his way out of his lynch pre mass claim if he hadnt hit Locke. With hitting a town he'd at least hand the win over to the third party. Locke who i, didnt suspect in the least.
One critism of Vino. On iso you only refered to Kise once and Kise, usually refrains from openly communicating with his scumpartners. Or so i read in another game. As well as that, maybe not so much focus on the one person. Iunno. Equally I could be blowing this out my ass. ^^
@UncertainKitten. I cant remember what you wrote but it could have painted Locke in a suspicious light. Replacements often give a fresh insight into the game or pick up on something otherwise missed. But only Locke can really answer that query.

@MOD
Will night actions be revealed? Im curious as to whether i actually managed to save anyone bar Sajin or did someone get lazy with their night action submissions. I like ignorant people.
Cause they dont talk to me, and i dont wanna be talked to.

You did. Vino admitted to trying to kill me. The SK made the kill on Tony.Snow White wrote:Wow. Im actually really happy Vino was hung. Kinda disappointed i couldnt participate in the lynch but yay!!!

Nyeh, I suppose it depends on the situation. I really don't see why CJ Miller wasn't lynched D1. I don't care if he flipped town. He was scum.
You would never lynch a PR day 1? You will never be lynching scum day 1 then.

I tried to kill KDub N2, so Snow blocked it. I thought someone redirected my kill AND roleblock to forbiddenlight so I was pissed that Sajin successfully "tracked" me. I was hoping Vino would kill Sajin as soon as D4 started up.
This kind of John McClaine stuff deserves an MVP nod, Sajin. Nice... I hope you'll play my game. That was... I dunno.
I'm speechless to be honest because I had even thought Gorrad didn't account my roleblock. Then I thought someone bus drove or redirected my kill, since Sajin said he tracked me to FL. Snow was really making me feel trusting of her as a Traitor.
They have escaped into the mansion where they thought it was safe.

Hoping to hit power roles. While I'm at it, that was my intention when I told Locke I drew from him. I needed to get a doc claim or at least narrow down the list so Vino could do away with whoever it was. In fact, call me crazy, but I was going to sabotage Snow and say I drew a protective spell from her, even though I didn't think she was town.

I doubted town absorber. Day actions and night actions with a confusing rule setup.
