I have a good idea on which one is Coug, so I'm going to go to the other side for fun.

lilith thanks for playing! I remember you were in worldwide flight race but I can't remember if I sent the game to the Philippines then. I hope you enjoyed the islands and if you were in the Visayas, then those mangos as well. I dream every day of fresh mango from that region. Hope that boat trip wasn't too eventful.

Memory of interactions with people, I suppose. Plus good process of elimination.

The "As a child, their bedroom did not have a door but instead had a curtain" identity belongs to one of {N, Plotinus, Radja}. You must solve this identity before attempting to solve others.

Hi Plotinus! Guess I'm first getting to know more of the players I don't know too well. I'm excited to ask my first question. I decided to go for one of the identities about childhood because I enjoy learning about early developmental history.

@Plotinus, why was your family so worried about having a door on your bedroom?

Wow I totally forgot about the worldwide flight race!! I just looked that up and wow, memories

I was so excited to tell the boat story haha. We went to Boracay and it was gorgeous :] we did a sunset boat ride one night and got pulled over for being on the roof of the boat because that's not allowed (but the boat captain was like "fuck em, just wait til they're gone and go back up")

I want to go to Borocay someday but heard they are trying to season limit the tourists. Also that totally sounds like what would happen.

Ah I do think they're putting in effort to like clean up the island and put some structure in place, but I think things have been lifted by now?

The door had been damaged by a previous tenant so we just took it off its hinges, but the landlord wouldn't pay for a new one so I got this green beaded curtain that I used to like to run back and forth through. The lack of privacy didn't really bother me at that age, fortunately I was pretty young when we lived there.

Because that answer was slightly adjacent to the intent of the question, I'll go with
Plotinus enjoyed the bedroom curtain

I'm going to save my questions. Based on the grammar structure, I'll go with
N had the bedroom curtain
. Maybe it helped out with air conditioning in the hot winters to not have a door.

N's childhood room had a curtain instead of a door, yep.

N, thanks for playing! I remember you too from worldwide flight race (aside from other games too). I kept thinking in such a warm climate you'd never want to have a curtain for a door, but I guess that was misguided. I'd be fascinated if there's a more nefarious reason aside from the doorway was too big.

@SleepyKrew Tell me how you solved this flag puzzle

it wasn't like a thick curtain or anything. just some material hanging from a rail between a bookcase and the back of my wardrobe.

originally our house had a big room, which my parents put a wall down the middle of to make a bedroom for each of cheerygod and myself. this meant that in order for cheerygod to get to his bedroom, he had to go through mine.

it looked kind of like this
cheerygod's bedroom
N's bedroomextra

but it meant that if I were ever an angry teen (which was clearly never, btw) I couldn't SLAM MY OWN DOOR

I wish your family could've given you a mini tabletop door set to slam. Or perhaps a dollhouse older than you.

We had found a list of different locations from a previous clue and knew that one of the locations, if written out with numbers, would be the combination to open a lock and proceed to the next room. The locations on the list were various cities, states/provinces, and countries. We were told "one of these is not like the other". When I saw that Ohio was on the list, I suggested we try it since Ohio was the only location on the list with a non-rectangular flag, to my knowledge. 150809015 with a bunch of 0s at the end was correct :D

I think you put the extra on the wrong side there N.

(I was able to slam my door though :) )

@xof, what compelled you to taste the perfume?

Posted: Sun Jul 05, 2020 8:42 pm
by xofelf
Hi pabs!

So about the perfume. This was actually one I made. I was at a perfume making class that my mom brought me to when I was 13, and we were allowed to put whatever we wanted in scentwise. So I ended up with this vanilla, cinnamon, and honeysuckle perfume. And I was a lot more impulsive when it came to passing thoughts than I am now, and I remembered that you can take honeysuckle blossoms and suck on the end of them and it's really sweet. And I wondered, huh, maybe this will taste as sweet as it smelled, and put a little dab on my finger and tried it. Protip: Perfume does NOT taste like what it smells like.

Ugh. That sounds like a good story because it has so many details I wasn't expecting but maybe has too many details.

Let's just do another question.

@SleepyKrew, why did you taste the perfume?

I was dumb, curious, and rebelling against society.
