Like when I scrolled, while I did have the most confidence in Pooky - Fidget - Owno - but had Pooky been actual scum here, I would have a particularly difficult time shooting him without the strong encouragement of others because I was so pocketed. And I believe that’s exactly what’s happening to Pooky and unless Fidget and Bell both insist it’s Noraa, it’s psychologically much easier for him to shoot either MC or Bell but Bell blatantly obvtowned and apparently MC hasn’t enough yet. :/

And add to that it being Noraa’s actual birthday, Pooky would feel the worst in his mind, incorrectly scrolling town!Noraa without support.

MC get in there and obvtown or we’re losing.

Have to say though. Win or lose Noraa played her heart out to get here.

I can't believe how pocketed Pooky is here. This is intensely pocketed ... I can't even rationalize it as buying time anymore.

Personally, I garbage my townreads at a stage like this and work from first principles, and I don't even get pocketed as a rule. If you're prone to that, it's time to ditch the reads in the endgame and rebuild around actual play, because whatever reads you have, they're trash.

Yeah her meta model is getting a firm upgrade.

The sunny game and now this. She can play for her audience under pressure well and is not to be ever underestimated. As she ages up she will get even stronger.

Pocketing only works if you’re being widely sr. If everyone already obvtowns you, it doesn’t affect you much but Pooky has been wrongly sr the entire game and Noraa insisted even more than me that he be in the finals. Meanwhile pretty much everyone else thinks he’s the last scum. When you’re being wrongly sr for pretty much the entire game, you’re an easy scum pocket but obviously not always. Titus tried very hard too pocket Flea and it spectacularly failed but it apparently worked wonders on Pooky.

But if he gets strong support on Noraa!scum from both Bell and Fidget, he will override this but not otherwise. It also doesn’t help that I wrongly hard tr Noraa and that is also unfortunately affecting his decision, because he has mentioned my incorrect Noraa read multiple times, so he needs strong support to be able to override this.

Fidget just started the hard push on Noraa. Bell's letting off the gas, but if MURDER and Fidget both are like "nope, focus here" it's a town win because Bell will jump back on that train and if Gloria's right, that takes Pooky out of gamethrow mode.

It's certainly not over, by any means.

Well they need to pressure him pretty hard because he won’t want the responsibility of possibly scrolling town!Noraa on her birthday no less after she’s been fhpov so much nicer to him than either MC or Bell.

They need to pretty much passionately state in unambiguous terms that Noraa is extremely likely scum and MC town. Any of this, “well evidence points a bit or even moderately points to her” stuff they’ve all been doing previously, likely won’t swing him.

He already said he’ll listen to his “heart”, MC over his “brain”, Noraa.

Solution: wait until midnight THEN scroll Noraa~

If this day continues much longer, we might possibly need to change the name of this game to either “Undead Curse” or “Life Support Curse”.

If I felt I literally needed to read every single post in the entire game rather than try to best parse the pertinent ISOs the best I possibly can, I’d probably be posting in tongues.

If MC put in a lot more effort, I think this game would already be over. He needs to be the one to do more work not Bell.

Noraa is able to coast off of this indecisiveness. When she was getting hardpushed, she flailed but when no pressure’s on her, she can fake being townie quite well. MC’s otoh’s play has been consistent all through Elo, so the fastest most reliable way to solve this game is to hardpush both Noraa and MC and then she will obviously flail but MC will likely obvtown.

Pooky ISO'd Isis. When he said he was doing that I went and did it myself. Early on in my reread I realized -- this is town win time.

meh. being in endgame does bad things to people and you start to see both sides of everything. it's why i hate being alive late game.

I definitely agree with that, but there's a big difference between there being two narrative possibilities and unable to chose between them, and being legitimately bad at the game. If you're running into the correct narrative, you're /good/ at the game; one of the biggest traps is writing out a false narrative and convincing yourself on the basis of the false one, because it /absolutely/ will lead you astray. (That, by the way, is why I don't consider myself that good.)

Also, I'm shaking my fist at Pooky for putting this evil on me. I probably /did/ say to kill MURDER at some point here (and certainly I pushed him into the townbloc to fulfill that role) but now it is time to hit Noraa and I will not accept the blame for this!
