Do you have a history of this behavior
?
It's kinda caught my attention that you ask these sorts of meta questions but aren't really that curious about the answers.
Do you think this behavior is scummy? I'd think it was.
It looks uncomfortable, and that could be scummy. It could also be from not replacing in to games very often. Given his join date, I would expect he's done his share of replacing.

By "this behavior", I meant the asking but not checking that you're accusing me of.

tbh it's one of the few things in your play that has even remotely sounded an off note to me. Earlier, you did a quick check of my RVS behaviors in other games. This one looks a lot like the question you asked me about strong-by-reputation players, and then didn't follow up on my offer to link to where I'd done (and not done) similar things in the past.
lol, maybe it's something you have a history of doing.

I could check if you like
You offering to provide proof on that was proof enough.
Maybe I'll follow up on Peabody, maybe I won't. THE WORLD WILL NEVER KNOW

Okay, so here are my comments from pages 1-10:
I've never seen anyone actually claim miller seriously, so my first reaction was that BrianSkies was joking. I only had to read a couple more posts before I find he wasn't kidding. I'm just going to omit the miller claim from my read of Brian because I'll WIFOM myself to death if I don't.
bad, and his defense-by-word-play doesn't help his case, but I don't understand why more flak was given to him rather than anyone else. Why did CTD's policy vote on Brian go uncontested?
What's up with YYR's vote on Aero? A vote goes one way but the post follows Kaze and Brian?
And Spyrex, why were you suddenly so gung-ho about an Aero scum possibility so fast? You had no vote on him, yet you wanted to wash your face in his blood? It seems over-the-top. Fake. Acted. And why do you want the hammer specifically?
Fferyllt is giving me a gut town vibe.
Right off the bat, SleepyKrew came in asking a lot of thoughtful questions... But some of them seemed to have no point or seem to be there for the
sake of asking questions
. Like the question to Smudger here. Overall, the thoughtful ones outweigh the less thought out ones, and I'm inclined to think SK is leaning town. However, if Maestro is scum, I recommend looking at SK due to his questioning of the Maestro votes.
Notscience - This question looks out of place. Also why did you feel the need to ask about thoughts on your wagon?

Uh, not sure if it's explicitly in my meta, but it's certainly a mindset of mine on occasion.

I'm going to look into that tomorrow but I'd appreciate if ffery and Empire and anyone else who wants to also did

What, looking up your own meta or mine?

Will try to do it in the morning chief, though my activity's going to not be so great until Sunday since Fridays/Saturdays are usually bad for me.

Uh, yours.
That's what I thought. But you just mentioned looking up your meta in one of your previous posts.
I get really excited when people look at my meta.

I was hoping the tongue would make it obvious I was joking. I am an exceedingly whimsical individual.

I honestly don't even know what to add at this point.
I still have a nice townblock going but all the slots that give me the willies are now revolving doors, and I'm honestly not for sure what to think about that. I can't imagine all the scum are just lurking and replacing, it doesn't seem right. Surely at least one would be out there trying to influence the game. Am I WIFOMING myself too hard here?

In post 625, Plum wrote:I had a weird Townread on him to start. I felt his vote on the Aero wagon was perhaps less objectionable than most others (maybe this has too much to do with expectations of a player to see or not see that a wagon is shallow?) and his point and vote on Kaze were original, pithy, and relevant. All the rest was pretty meh and the fact that I didn't object was probably due to those expectations and early read as Town (and fferylt's point about how he called the initial Brian wagon 'too coincidental' when he voted Aero is good reason to reconsider that feeling as well). Hopefully having a new player in the slot will help me refocus.
Yeah, I also liked the initial posting but it went stale pretty quick.
You don't seem too upset the wagon youre on isnt taking off anymore. Has anything changed about your read?
In post 628, fferyllt wrote:Empire, I really, really don't like that so far your play has been mostly observational and reactive.
There might be an element of reactive-ness to it but to say my play's observational is really really unfair. It's not like I've been commenting on events without drawing conclusions from them -- I've given reads and have given my reasons; I wish I had been around more when SpyreX was getting wagoned before the whole Neighborhood business happened so I could have gotten a little more from him but after that, I couldn't keep my vote there in good conscience so ever since the game's just hit a huge lull. It's stagnating for me right now because there are three slots left that I really want to sort and they're not here. If that means sitting back for a bit and then waiting, then so be it. I'm not going to generate content for the sake of it.
I wasn't talking about lack of conclusions, I was talking about not initiating many interactions. I went back to look in case my impression was wrong, but most of your posts interacting with other players were initiated by the other players. Including this interaction.
In fact, the post that I snipped this bit from was the only one that had any clear and obvious examples of you picking out something another player said and questioning them about it rather than responding to something that the player said either to or about you. And that post was made after I commented on the lack, though apparently I didn't explain myself well.

UNVOTE:
VOTE: Nonscience
Round two ding ding 471 is the only post that looks like scum hunting between 246 and 635. That's along time to not give any reads on a player. He just seems to be dodging that prod and riding those waves off ohh his town early game.

For your convenience, I just now posted all of the games I currently have knowledge of to my wiki. A couple could have slipped through the cracks due to not being able to find them, but I think the list is pretty exhaustive.

Thanks fferyllt. I read up to page 20, but I still am working on my notes from 11-20. You should see them soon.
I do like the Spyrex wagon mainly because Spyrex has been a scum read of mine since the first 10 pages. The way he interacted with Aero looks overdramatic, fake, and he didn't even cast a vote.
I don't want to waste our Day 1 lynch on a miller claim. It robs us of information for day 2. Scum can easily pass on "Yeah, this lynch should happen," instead of contributing in a meaningful way.
