Spectrumvoid, I have to say, you are either a genius at the game and the best player I have ever seen, or you are a townie.

I would like to hear a little more from TS.

Vote: Toaster Strudel

I'm

he's been posting in the mishmash forum; he's playing diplomacy there. So he probably will be back soon...
His last post in this game was Dec 7
His last post on the site was Dec 13
He posted on the limited access thread sending "bad vibes" for those who proded him without seeing his sig. (not me)
His sig says that he is back but has a lot to catch up so will be busy for a couple of days, but his last post was a week ago.
the PM I sent him on Sunday is still not opened.

I would like very much to have CDB back, but the facts above make me think he left the site or is whithout internet access for some reason.
When you guys think a replacement is needed just let me know.

Aw... my win-lose record is too poor for me to be a genius. So I guess I'm just a townie. :)

I'm not voting TS yet (since if I do so he'll be at -2, and with the ?? vote I think it's dangerous to do so), but I'd like to hear from him too.

You are very convicing, Spectrumvoid. It's true, Toaster hasn't been looked at at all this game; he has been fairly quiet, focusing mostly on Kaebamf, and staying off the other bandwagons. Scum keeping his head down, perhaps.

I'm willing to
unvote, Vote: Toaster Strudel
on the basis of that.

:( I like playing with Dellybird, but if he's really not here, I guess the best thing would be to get a replacement, please mod. It might take a while for you to find someone, and with a deadline coming up, I'd like to be playing with a full deck.

Speculating about the questionmarks is a bad idea.

You have dirt on me, then say so. Vague "keeping head down" won't cut it. I am pleased with the way I have played this game so far.

I anyone has played poorly, it's not me; it's the rest of you, in particular, your current voting for me. It's a bad play.

Of the three people that are voting for me, one of you should be removing your vote immediately, on account of the mysterious double-voter, I could be hammered any minute.

For the speed at which you've been convinced with spectrumvoid's wishy-washy assessment, and for recklessly putting me very quickly within hammering distance:

I agree with TS saying we need to be much more careful with our voting without knowing anything about that ???? vote.

However, TS, saying that voting for you is bad play for the town is not exactly a defense.

Well spectrumvoid's return seemed quite reasonable to me, good to have you back. Not cleared, but certainly alleviated my suspicions a fair bit.
Regarding TS, I've already said I'd like to see some more wide-ranging participation, and as Romanus says
Romanus wrote:However, TS, saying that voting for you is bad play for the town is not exactly a defense.
However, I think the play by M4yhem was worse - we don't know about the ???s, i'm not happy putting someone at -2 just to put some pressure on.

Wikipedia wrote: Theoretical obligations between a samurai and his lord (usually a daimyo) increased from the Genpei era to the Edo era. They were strongly emphasized by the teachings of Confucius and Mencius (ca 550 B.C.) which were required reading for the educated samurai class. During the Edo period, after the general end of hostilities, the code of Bushido was formalized. It is important to note that bushido was an ideal, but that it remained uniform from the 13th century to the 19th century - the ideals of Bushido transcended social class, time and geographic location of the warrior class.

TS: I don't think my assessment of you was a wishy-washy one. You are the one and only person who was mostly around, posted, yet did not contribute to any of the major arguments (ie I mean you didn't accuse nor defend.) I'd like to hear a better explanation, not just that you're pleased with the way you played.

I'm also pretty surprised that I'm the first one to bring TS's behaviour up, considering I think we have some pretty good mafia players here, and I've seen some jumpy behaviour in the past pages. No specific suspicions yet, but just something I've taken note of.

While I'm unhappy with the way m4yhem voted to put TS at -2, I'm more unhappy at the speed with which the m4yhem wagon grew. Romanus: is there any concrete reason for your guess related to your role powers? Or is it via your own deduction?

Well, first off kudos to all the replacements.

Just looking at the last couple of pages, spectrumvoid/Kain has gone a long way up in my estimations. I agree with the point you made about TS, particularly in terms of his insistence on pressurising Kaebamf, and I think I would probably vote for him if he wasn't two from lynch.

I think we've had too many claims in this game, but I'm not sure that I'm likely to settle for anything less than a TS claim.
