503: Dead People Have Powers - Happiness Or Destruction?

So we'd have to lynch Claus and hope that he protects whoever is NK'd. We'd get another investigation for tomorrow but we'd only have a 1/3 chance he'd protect the right person.
Might be a good option, since I could see either Draux or ckillor as scum and really don't know which it is. I'm leaning toward Draux. I was thinking it wouldn't make sense for DrauxScum to counterclaim, but if he didn't we'd have had a confirmed townie and would've only had to choose between two players rather than three so it actually makes sense for DrauxScum to counterclaim.

If we kill the doc, we need him to guess between three people. To lynch scum we have to decide between two. Better chances this way.Setael wrote:Might be a good option, since I could see either Draux or ckillor as scum and really don't know which it is. I'm leaning toward Draux. If Draux is scum, he had to choose whether to claim, and have a one-on-one against ckillor, or not to counter-claim and going against DG. Which one would you choose? (Hint: I'd choose to let the town decide between me and Delicious "Scummy" Goldfish)
If he's town, he's the spiritualist, and besides claiming his actual role, he'd like us to suspect ckillor, which is scum.
He could, of course, do it to throw us off, because he knew we'd think this way, but that's just an improbable WYFOM.
it's not only OMGUS. but rather than jumping immeadiately which i could of done, i waited just for the case on him to build so it would have more meaning. it doesnt really change it to terribly muchSetael wrote:That makes no sense. If someone counterclaims your role, how is your vote on them only OMGUS?
My bandwagon can beat up your bandwagon.
Meh... ckillor's answers are a bit scummy - but not unlike his whole play in the game.
There are two things, however, that are keeping my vote for draux:
- One is the bid for the transporter spot: It would surprise me if the scum did no bid at all for the transporter spot. Random Acts seems to be interested in it in posts 69 and 173. In 173, he specifically mentions Draux, Y and Night Light, without anyone in particular asking him. I find it probable that he would try to pass at least one of his scumbuddies as town, when pointing the "townie" finger at so many people in the beginning of the game.
Draux brings up the subject on posts 127. After Setael is "choosen", he puts out his confidence in him on post 223.
Ckillor, on the other hand, never reaches for the spot, and seems to support the three candidates. His only post on the subject is ... argh, forgot the post number, should be near post 223.
- The other thing is that after counterclaiming, draux has gone silent. Maybe he has reasons off game for this, but I would feel safer if he tried to make a case for the ckillor lynch, or at least comment on the cases currently presented.
I won't have much time to post or re-read until friday, but I will be reading new posts and commenting/voting on them.
MOD: the deadline on friday is a "reduce lynch threshold" deadline, or a hard "lynch the leader" deadline? What happens on a tie?

No, I'm still here. It's just that there's not really a much of a case against Ckillor, except for the fact that I'm the Spiritualist therefore he is Scum. I could just go through the thread and list all the Scummy things he's said, but I doubt that'd be very helpful in convincing you. I can comment on the cases presented against me though, if someone is willing to summarize them. It seems that Claus has quite a lot of cases against me. =/
Firstly, I believe that me and Night_Light were established as the most Townie-looking players by a few people before RandomActs mentioned this, although I'm not sure why he added Y into it. Secondly, I made a point on Day 1 after both counter-claims that it'd be better to actually Lynch Scum instead of Town. If we were to Lynch Scum and then Lynch all four claimants, the Scum would not be able to kill us off faster than we can Lynch them. Simply put, if we had Lynched Scum on Day 1 we would've won already. I was slightly against a Townie Lynch on Day 1, but went along with it anyway since the Town didn't seem to get me (partly because they suspected a fourth Scum, which was possible but highly unlikely). I'm not sure if the Scum realised this or not, but it would've been very bad for them if the third Scum had been Lynched on Day 1.- One is the bid for the transporter spot: It would surprise me if the scum did no bid at all for the transporter spot. Hmmm...
I'm building a case against you because Setael and Y seem to be falling too quickly in line with a ckillor lynch, and I want to make sure that both options are carefully considered.
I must concede, though, that I'm an overly paranoid player, and I get specially paranoid when I'm confronted with "too good to be true" situations (See my repeated FoSes on Setael ).
What is your opinion on breadcrumbs? Did you leave any?

I'm actually leaning toward Draux, just because ckillor and death_omen's play both seemed so scummy and d_o turned up town. I could see one of the scum early on suggesting scum be lynched d1 since we really wouldn't expect scum to do that (nor did we think Draux was scummy for it).
The scum spiritualist would've wanted to act as townie as possible (like Draux's play) rather than kind of sloppy scum which is what ckillor felt like all game.
I hate being the deciding vote. I'm really not very good at scum hunting of late. Hopefully other players will weigh in before deadline. In fact, it will be interesting to see what RandomActs does...

vote: Draux
A D1 scum kill and then power-role lynch would be the worst thing we could do. NK every night and all townies and power roles transferred to the afterlife. Bad for the town.Draux wrote:Firstly, I believe that me and Night_Light were established as the most Townie-looking players by a few people before RandomActs mentioned this, although I'm not sure why he added Y into it. When we started voting for you, why didn't you tell us that you're the spiritualist so we won't lynch you? I didn't see any objection for you to get lynched, although the spiritualist should have.
Vote Count
Draux (3): Claus, ckillor, Seteal
Ckillor (2): Draux, Kilroy
Claus (1): RandomActs
Delicious Goldfish (0):
req to lynch 6
If anyone wishes me to prod anyone please place in bold. Oh and you have 48 hours before req to lynch is lowered
If this stays as is Draux will be lynched
In the case of a draw between any number of people I wish for each person to vote only between the 2 or 3 tied people.

Well, DG, it would be nice if you made an effort to try and decide why Ckillor is more/less likely to be scum than Draux. It is not only you who have to be decided, but actually all the voting players that have to think about it together, right?DeliciousGoldfish wrote: So... if someone wants my vote for or against someone... Maybe convince me? ckillor would be my vote at this point... Anyone have a good reason whynotto vote for ckillor?
Just because you almost won the game (unless RA decides to kill you tonight), doesn't mean that you can't try to help us win it as well.

@ Y: No, it would've been a good thing. Don't you get it? We would've won. It wouldn't matter if power roles were transferred to the Afterlife. As long as we Lynch all four claimants, all the Scum would've been dead before they could take out the Town. How is this a bad thing?
And I couldn't exactly say "Hey I'm the Spiritualist, don't Lynch me today so the Scum can Nightkill me when they get the chance LOL" could I? I hinted that I didn't want to be Lynched on Day 1, and Spambot and Setael even suspected me a Neutral for it. I don't recall ever saying that I was willing to be Lynched on Day 1. It's not exactly within my power if people decide I was a good choice for the Transporter. And it would've been a bad thing if I actually outright claimed I was the Spiritualist at that point.
@ Claus: No, I didn't leave any breadcrumbs. Not intentionally, anyway. I really didn't want people to suspect me as the Spiritualist. You interpreted my 'Channeler don't claim' statement as a breadcrumb, but it was meant to be a ruse so that the Scum wouldn't think I was the Spiritualist.

i don't beleive that statement for many reasons. if we look at it as if you are scum, you would of said that anyway since you wouldnt want to stand out by telling the real spiritualist to claim, and you wanted to look protown by agreeing with other people telling the spiritualist not to come out. you wouldn't of left any breadcrumbs early in the game because you wouldn't of known then that you would need to claim as the spiritualist. i don't see how scum would think of saying "channeler don't claim" as a ruse or really much of a tell of anything, especially since about 5 other people had said the same thing back then.Draux wrote:

if we feel like looking at it as you being the town/real spiritualist, then not breadcrumbing isn't all that big a deal. it doesnt support or deny your claim. and then you reinforced the message of telling the spiritualist not to claim, which again doesnt really mean all that much, and while it may of been a ruse, it really didnt change anything like i said because about 5 other people said the same thing.
during the earlier stages of the game. i don't think i even mentioned the spiritualist in the game thread(all questions i had went directly to the mod) or atleast i didnt shout of commands for him to stay hidden. i did jump of death_omen a little when he said he was a spiritualist. overall i tried not to mention the spiritualist as much as possible, stay low key since i needed to stay alive so the cop, and dead people could still comunicate, and observe. i probably should of left a breadcrumb or two just for this situation, but i know that for future games now.
My bandwagon can beat up your bandwagon.
ckillor's post > Draux's post
Also, I noticed that ckillor jumped at D_O when he joked about being the spiritualist. Ckillor, I don't breadcrumb as well when I'm a power role, so I don't think you should start doing so. I just asked Draux the question because I wanted to see how honestly he analyses his own playstyle.
Regarding Draux Post, I decided to re-read, because I didn't remember he saying that he didn't want to die. I did NOT find it, care to point it out? I found this instead, near the post where ckillor jumps at D_O for joke claiming:
This post is EXTREMELY wish-washy - he basically accuses everyone who has not claimed, and at the same time sucks up to Setael, who was leading the game. So the suspicions are solid, but let's not jump to conclusions yet?
So, yeah, my vote stays, and now I would urge other people to vote Draux as well.

In one paragraph. he first says that he disagrees with Setael's choice of Power roles, and that he will explain leter, but never does. Then he says that Setael's suspicion for the third scum are solid. But makes some "additions" - basically everyone else who Setael didn't suspect yet.Draux wrote:And Ckillor, he was being sarcastic. Whoever is the Town Channeler, please do not claim. I disagree somewhat with Setael's Scum list in terms of the claimed power roles, but I don't think I need to explain any further on that yet. His suspicions for the third Scum seem solid, with my addition ofCoronwho has yet to post. I also findCkillora little strange, but I'll let that pass as Newbieness.Y, you are pointing out details which do not need pointing out, almost like you are fishing. Your posts are filled with illogicality/WIFOM, and there's something about the way you easily agree with other people that doesn't click with me. But more importantly, let's not jump to conclusions as to who is Scum yet. We need to hear from everybody first.
