Because your vote should have gotten attention from more than just me. Every time I talked to someone about it I had to re-iterate my points because they acted like they were just hearing about them for the first time. Scum should be jumping all over you if you’re Town.

On a related note, if I were scum then there still should have been a wagon on you from teammates trying to save me. Despite what RC wants to tell people there is no counterwagon to me right now which is telling in its own right.

Maru is the primary counterwagon, scum just aren't overcommitting to it because there aren't actually town willing to vote there. All the active town have voted you. Scum can pile on somewhere but that just makes you look worse: your team knows that they have to wait for town to start supporting another town lynch before they hard push it through.

There is exactly 1 person voting Maru. Calling that a counterwagon is utter bullshit.

This is what playing the short game looks like when no scum player has done anything at all

Every scum voting maru at once is worse in the short term than just pushing a bunch of different people waiting for 1-2 town to support something then power wagoning it

Setting aside that I know I'm town, surely the scum could find some wagon to support that has town on it. Is it your position that all other potential wagons are scum lead?

I'm saying that 6/10 of the town is are all on the same wagon and at most 1 town is voting anyone else as a result giving scum no easy wagons.

Also alchemist is obviously scum so generally when town have been getting in thread they have been voting there.

They don't need an easy wagon. They do need a wagon. Not putting forward any opposition isn't an option in the scenario you are proposing. Now, I independently find nearly everyone on Alch questionable anyway. But even if I put myself in the position of ignoring that, and assuming alch is scum. My base assumption would be that this wagon on him has 1-2 team mates on it. It lets them control defusing it. Why isn't this something you've seemingly given any consideration towards?

Putting forward opposition harms more than it helps: the correct play is to do exactly what you guys are already doing, appeal to the individual voters to unvote and try to make it impossible to get the 8 requisite townies on the wagon.

Given that the wagon is almost certainly going through if I support it, the core counterplay is to get me to do something else... and oh majiffy yourself and alchemist have all tried to directly appeal to me to change my focus.

If you all voted a counterwagon it would be a lot more obvious to the remaining townies where the battle lines lie.

I don't think I've tried to get you to change your focus? I've been trying to figure out if you are just awful this game or scum. Heavily leaning towards the latter. You interacting with me over maru wouldn't require you moving your vote. The only argument you've made this whole game that hasn't been bullshit is an appeal to meta on Alch, and I just don't have the meta knowledge to refute or confirm that, so for all I know its also full of shit.

Imagine for a moment, a world where I'm town. No one is strongly pushing for a counter wagon. No one is strongly opposing the alch wagon. No one has appealed to some voters to get them to move (the only instance i can think of this is me towards gamma). I know this is the world we are in. I just can't imagine alch being scum in such a world. Everyone who reads alch as scum must also read me as scum. And I appeal to any of you who may have a town read on me to reconsider your current vote placement.
