honestly, i have no idea, i'm kinda just along for the ride and waiting to see what new surprises come our way

i am kinda intersted in a the double elim mechanic for today, and the fact that all townies are vt is rather curious.

do u have any thoughts?

from what I know of Hectic.

He really loves twists, romance, and nontraditional narrative arcs.

so here are some guesses that went through my head about what is actually going on.


The Princess does not want to be married - She does not love her suitor whom she has been promised to, she sees the evil in his heart - he loves not her but power.

The food was stolen for a trip away from the Castle for she will be traveling many leagues to find a New World where she can be safe and free.

She has disguised herself among the castle workers and will recruit those she trusts to help her with her quest - now since a Princess cannot be a - I think she is something of the equivalent of a Delayed IC and we are playing something fairly close to a Mountainous Game.

The evil prince has dispatched his henchmen to search for her as he has noticed she is missing from her quarters - the villains seek to stop her escape and wish the wedding to go ahead as planned - they have evil in their hearts - they hope to capture her.




After the initial 2 launches, we will have the Princess be revealed as an IC, she will try to form a coalition of 6 that she can trust - this will end in a town victory if it is successful, if not we will move into the Ball Room for a dance game where players will pair up into lover neighborhoods.

for me it's not because Ydrasse was "aware the logic is flawed and hit send anyway", my reasoning goes way less deep than that. it just seemed like a genuine explanation that made sense to her

also i think hopkirk has gotten a bunch of townreads and i'm not really seeing it yet

from what I understand, Hopkirk pulls off high effort and solveyness much more easily as town. in a marathon game where he beat me as scum, I don't believe he was high effort or trying hard to stand out, i think i townread him for a far stupider reason

i let that game make me afraid of scum!hopkirk but so far I think if he's highly proactive early and if i vibe wit him, the simpler solution is that he's town

Ok so is what he's done so far 'high effort' and 'solveyness' for him

you know, i was thinking about this earlier and i'm actually not sure how to feel about mt taking meta regarding me at face value given it burned her once (heh. forest fire)

like, granted it was her digging through my meta and not me offering it to her but like, it seems like something she could be wary about

It's the hopkirk im familar with from the past couple of his towngames

gloria's probably my strongest tr right now because she just. feels like all the town games before, idk how she plays at scum or if there's much of a difference frankly but given my experiences with her it's good to look at her posts and see what i've seen before

I believe that my theory was that your WIM kicks in when you feel like your faction's victory is threatened, so either all the time as scum or around late game as town.

i was more getting at that you might just be uncomfortable with early content as scum, but! i forgot about that other scum game. i compensated for forest fire by reversing it when i should be throwing it in the trash

also i used to play kindred a lot, they're super fun. at least they were on release, now i avoid the jungle at all costs and play warwick if i MUST. or nunu.

like, he's mad cute but his posting doesn't inspire much joy + i feel his positioning around skitter in this sort of "null town land but also maybe scum" just... doesn't seem good.

It's the same logic than why you find parteners scummy, and just like bussing, like, peoples do it because they think it's normal to notice that kind of stuff

I'm not a Gypyx fan from the exchange over this. He feels kind of focused/detached form the loveliness of the thread, taking a surgical approach to it instead.

why does him not being involved in the 'loveliness' make you like his posting less? it feels like a very... weird way to phrase this sort of read.

like, reading over the thread + having experience with him he's not a person who's gonna get caught up in all the love/cuteposting (which in retrospect feels a bit thread cloggy but it's fun. just doesn't do a Whole Lot)

Ehh I can relate to the idea that scum are often null town, happens to me a lot

I think scum ends up in the null town area a decent amount, although it's player dependent as well as dependent on how far we are into the game whether i'd maintain paranoia of them or not

like D1 i use everything i can

If you write off townleans because being towny is inherently scummy then i think that's a problem, but i lean against that being whats happening

Yeah. My strong TRs are rarely wrong, but scum are usually able to give off some townvibes for me. (Matrix decipher is a perfect example of this for people who were in that game)

It feels like he is not happy about how fast the townblock has grown :3
