despite arguing through the entire workday, it was of no use; the majority voted that PookyTheMagicalBear is the final infiltrator.

seeing the final vote being put down didn't make Pooky stop yelling for Bell's head. "right... i'm gonna go let Datisi know we're done for the day," mumbled Cat Scratch Fever as she pulled her phone out and tried to mentally tune out the screaming.

a little while after receiving the call, Datisi marched into the meeting room, casually spinning his handgun around his index finger. "sorry i kept you waiting, i had to take a call... Pooky, i assume?" asked Datisi, seeing him separated from the other employees. the rest of the workforce nodded.

"well, then. Pooky, to my office," said Datisi as he turned around, gestured to Pooky to follow him, and started walking towards the room's exit.

just as Datisi reached for the door's knob, he felt a sharp pain in his shin. the kick catching him off guard, he lost his balance and dropped his handgun. by the time he realized what was happening, he was in a choke hold, a pistol barrel pressed against his temple.

"STEP BACK! one move and i'll fucking kill him!" screeched Pooky as he turned around to face the employees. they all looked frightened, holding their hands up. their eyes were darting between Datisi and Pooky, but none of them dared to even try to move; Datisi was such a great boss, none of them wanted to see him die.

despite Pooky's threats, Datisi kept kicking, his gaze seemingly unfocused out the meeting room window. unfortunately, the resistance seemed to be of no use, probably due to his frequent gym skipping.

"here's what's gonna happen," said Pooky as he tried to keep his balance, "we're going to his office, and if he wants to live, he's going to give me the new mainframe password." Pooky kept having to shuffle backwards in order to not fall over. "and if YOU want him to live, you better not try anything funny." a smile crept on his face. "and then... i..."

Pooky trailed off, suddenly focusing his vision on one of the buildings outside. seeing him looking at something, the employees instinctually turned their heads around too, in order to take a quick glance out the window.

there was a faint glint of light coming from the neighbouring building's rooftop.

just as they all realized what was going on, a booming gunshot was heard. it was accompanied by a sound of one of the windows shattering, and Pooky's lifeless body collapsing onto the floor.

flavourit took a moment for the workforce to process what had just happened. Datisi's violent coughs brought them back to reality; he was kneeling on the floor, trying to catch his breath.

before they could rush to him, he gestured for them to stay back; he was fine, he just needed some air.

after managing to get back up onto his feet, the looks on his employees' faces told him they were waiting on an explanation.

"at the time, i thought Malakittens was just trying to scare me," he sighed, trying not to let his fear show, "but after VP Baltar actually shot at me, i realized GeorgeBailey's employees are much more bloodthirsty than i first thought. they were willing to disobey his orders, and i knew it wasn't safe."

as he was speaking, he was walking over to the broken window. "so i took some... safety precautions," he said, vaguely gesturing towards the neighbouring building's rooftop.

for a split second, you thought you saw a stirner-like figure pass behind one of that building's windows.

Datisi walked over to the meeting room's exit, careful not to ruin his shoes by stepping into blood. "good work, team. i'm going to call the cleaning and repairing services; it's going to take a bit to get this meeting room back in order, though, so let's all take tomorrow off."

"oh, and one more thing," he said before leaving the room, "all of you are getting a raise."

thank you all for playing, thank you to those who replaced in, and an enormous thank you to my backup mod georgebailey for putting up with me through this!

pt's will be getting unlocked shortly - with the exception of the scum pt and the notes threads, inhabitants of hose have 48 hours to request redactions.

i owe you all an apology. the part of the ruleset that presented the game's mechanics was horribly written. i don't have much more to say other than i rushed it, i fucked it up, and i'm sorry.

i'm also not completely happy with how the setup's turned out otherwise. thank you to those who provided feedback in the dead thread, and you're encouraged to keep providing it now that the game is over. i plan to mod more theme games in the future, and i want to learn what works and what doesn't.

the thread is now unlocked for post-game discussion.
