I'm still way back and forth.

The only one I'm pretty strongly against is lowell but even that kinda falls apart if TML is town.

Look, I understand that VCA is a nice tool and all, but why are we bothering with this when Chimera has gone and claimed scum? Look, even before today he was being useless. I mean look at his day two play. He does literally nothing all day, letting the town devour itself with the two wagons and then jumps on the lynch wagon at the end.

Chimera is fucking scum. Can we please lynch the scumbag?

This is also true, unfortunately. I'm going to go think about this.

After that post I could be down with a Chim lynch (town - TML / scum - Mhork)

What do you mean by an agreement? You mean, like, me admitting I'm The Mini-Librarian's scumbuddy? If so, no. However, if The Mini-Librarian were to flip scum, this would put us at 4-1 going into the night. Two shots put us at 2-1 LyLo. I'd take the shot, but only after making sure we know precisely who is going to be the lynch the following day.

Why is The Mini-Librarian being chosen over Chimera?

Ummm, why do you want to decide tomorrow's lynch today? You'll have to convince me that's a good idea before I agree to that.

No, we're not deciding tommorrow's lynch today. We're deciding the vigshot.

I already explained this in 648.

...I also like your kondi-slip there. Very nice. Thus I agree with Phil...

Elaborate on that 'slip,' yeah?

Miscalculation on my part. Ignore that bit.

There is absolutely the possibility scum would have slipped up and tried to fake a power role.

I never said they wouldn't. Go read my post again. I didn't say "scum wouldn't" I said "scum could and it wouldn't prove a thing".

You seem to know differently. Anyway, all gambits are null until the
end
. You do not, nor have you any way, of knowing whether or not scum would have fallen for this trick--that is, unless you're scum.

Had they fallen for it, like I said, it would have proved zilch. Other than the fact that someone among us is lying. Which we all knew already.

Even then, you had to make sure your partner didn't do anything antsy, which actually strengthens the idea of a The Mini-Librarian partnership. After all, he is a newbie himself.

Think about that for a sec. Suppose, for a moment, I was scum, doing what you say, making sure my partner, being in your scenario TML, didn't do anything stupid. Now why in the world would I warn the guy who already claimed? Really? You're grasping at straws now with stuff like this.

In any event. This explains nothing. You have yet to state why you made this moronic declaration
before the popcorning was over.
Pointing out which calculation we likely are on wouldn't in itself be scummy. The way you did it is basically a scum claim.

I have yet to what?

648 wrote:Also, considering that Phil is relatively new it was a possibility that he had miscalculated and wind up believing someone scum for the wrong reasons...which is why I wanted to make sure he wasn't just making a simple mistake.

That not good enough for you?

Phillammon wrote:As I said, notice how I said "Don't challenge my reasoning until after the claim"?

That was the hint for you too shut up if you noticed.

Eat rope.

....and yeah I had missed this...i.e. why I wondered about his reasoning and made the post. I have a bad way of missing a line or two when pressed for time and reading quickly (or reading on my phone).

Unvote, Vote: Chimera

There's no way you could have actually believed that if the only permutation that could exist was no PR's and a PR claimed that it wouldn't be a positive impact.

I dont think I've ever seen someone say "ohh he's new for trying to catch scum in a flat lie" before.

I'd shoot Mhork on a scum flip by a tiny margin of gut - because he IS right in that the statement does make less sense after his partner claimed.

Just because I'm new, doesn't mean I can't lay an intentional trap. It's true that innocents could blunder into it, but I reckon only scum could fall for it by trying to defuse it. VOTE: Chimera.

by SpyreX
How could an "innocent" blunder into that trap though?

That's the big issue with that defense - its a low-risk high-reward gambit. Scum may lie for position, but town damn well better not.

Spryex, you misquoted me. Go back and read what I said. I'd retype it but I'm on my phone. I NEVER said there was no possible option other than all town. That was started by Mhork in his initial reaction. Nor did I ever say what your second line reads.
