If you believe it is a 50/50 split between them and also that the power is fairly important to town - then I still don't see the value in trying to make a judgement call on that one on Day 1.

If I thought it was a 50/50 split between them, I wouldn't be voting either.

Your argument is that there is the possibility of the role but not the possibility of two such roles.

That means you're either calling them both fakeclaiming scum and lords of 'worst claims evah!'
Or you're suggesting one is town and one is a scum fakeclaimer. WHich would be a 50/50 split.

I thought it was the latter...is it the first?

Wait, wait, wait. I'm not sure that we're both defining "50/50 split" the same way. I'm interpreting the phrase to mean equally scummy, while your posts seem to indicate that you interpret it as one town, one scum.

You're interpreting my take correctly.

What do you mean when you say you think the role can exist but not two of them?

But by that logic you have to think either both of them are scum or one of them is scum, yes?

Yes. They
COULD
both be scum, but why would two scum fakeclaim and risk a three-way counterclaim on Day 1?

Okay, so when you say this you're saying;

Without doubt one of them is scum - I'm voting for that person.

Right?

Hey everyone, I'm back. Axelrod's claim seems to muddy the waters a bit. His claim has not overcome the inertia requirements for me to stop believing shadow's claim though. I hate to point out that I also have a role at allows me to know the executioner in certain conditions. The certain condition being I know who the executioner is if it is me. As you can see, that isn't really saying much. Of course, the obvious point is that the mafia would have a good idea of who the executioner is. Not that I want to be a role fisher, but without more information, I am not likely to treat Axel's claim with much import.

Ser panda has accurately described what the high fives were for. I am now retracting my high five from quilford though - why not just read the thread instead of insulting the game? This has been a pretty interesting one thus far.

TheShadow flip flopping based off the changing whims of the thread seems über scummy now... The pressure is (mostly) off of you... Why are you insisting on playing like a headless sheep?

DoomYoshi almost gave me a heart attack, but as it seems effectively VT, I'm good with lynching him.

It wasn't a role claim... It was just pointing out how unclear axel's claim was.

In that, I mean every player has the ability to know the executioner in special condtions.

@SC - in a situation where you see one of the PR claims as obv. true I don't see the value in dice rolling Day 1 on it.

UNVOTE: Axelrod and UNVOTE: Axelrod then. I don't feel comfortable with a reversion to a Ser Panda vote right now, so I'll do a double VOTE: DoomYoshi.

Oh look at Shadow's horrible wagon hopping. Can we seriously go ahead and lynch him?

And now let's look at Quilford. Oh god, it's just as scummy.

Where are my votes at?

Funny how, as soon as you come under pressure, your votes start going to the main wagons instead of people who were never going to be lynched.

You mean that as "you're scum" funny and not "ha-ha" funny, right?

It seemed as if people are deciding things based on Axel's "claim". I just wanted to point out that based on his claim, it describes every role in the game, so it isn't a claim, just as mine wasn't. If it was so obvious, why didn't anyone else notice?
