Toaster- I voted for you because I find you suspicious. OMGUS voting me and claiming it is bad play to suspect you is not going to change my mind. In fact, it makes me a lot happier with my vote. Compare your reaction with Spectrumvoid's when I put her in the same position (-2). Your reaction is extremely scummy.

You act like people would be idiots to suspect you, and you appeal to the towns fear of losing to get you off the hook. I don't think you
will
be quicklynched. I think one of your buddies is voting for me already.

I suggest you claim.

Have it your way, then.

I behaved the way I did - which is to not draw attention to myself to either the town, or the scum, or saying anything of great significance, or by lurking - because I am the Doctor. The Healing Samurai. Good job finding that behavior scummy.

Now that I am going to be nightkilled, you guys better lynch the right guy, and I would suggest either riktus , M4yhem, or spectrumvoid.

Can I have some more flavor? Can you prevent deaths from both the SK and the Mafia?

All the facts I have given are due to my role, yes.

It doesn't matter if he can heal against the SK, since the SK is dead.

I may need a serious read through soon.

We could do without the threats, a simple, please allow TS to answer the question I directed to him, would be fine.

You’re lying, Strudel. I
know
you are lying, because I am the Guardian Samurai. Every night I can protect someone from a bandit attack. That makes me the doctor, and you a lying scumbag.
As to Shadowlurkers question; I protected Hurrikaty last night, so clearly the answer is no. I protected Mlaker night one.

I'm totally foreign to the samurai theme, actually, but can someone tell me whether it's more possible to have a guardian or a healer samurai? Or if possible, provide me with some link somewhere so I can do research?

M4yhem: can you provide more flavour regarding your role?

I'll go have a read regarding m4yhem VS TS to see whose claim is more believable.

I'm inclined to believe that Guardian Samurai is a more likely title than Healing Samurai. Much more inclined, as it happens. It seems more in keeping with the other titles in the game.

Nobody kill Toaster Strudel just yet. I have reason to believe that we do have a Healing Samurai.

If you look at nightkills. We have shots, and poison. Shots come from a weapon, a pistol, or an arrow - whatever, a weapon.

Poison? Well, I guess I can't protect against poison.

Have there been a bandit attack? I don't think so. Yet - the theme of the game is that the Mafia are bandits. But the bandits are shooting - would it make sense that bandits would poison? I protect against weapons. Presumably, the bandit's weapons, since two of the nightkills were weapons-related. I therefore believe that I am protecting against mafia nightkills.

I hope I am not wrong about this, but from what I understand of the game, M4yhem's claim is a direct counterclaim to my own.

You can all make up your minds.

But I think it's interesting to note that it is M4yhem, following nothing but a vague, and incorrect hunch from SV, that first put me, and very very quickly, within hammering range - had I not logged in to check, I might already be dead, and the Town would have lost.

M4yhem really rushed into the bandwagon, forced me to claim, which I was very reluctant to do, since it means I will be automatically nightkilled, and the Town will no longer have a Doctor.

Now, at lynch or lose, he is, I am quite sure, quite daringly counterclaiming Doctor. After I gave my flavor - he was able to come up with something quite similar. It's a maverick scum move, but it tips the balance favor of the scum. Had they not counterclaimed, we would have sought another lynching target. But now, with that counterclaim, the scum is forcing the Town into a 50% chance of lynching its own Doctor.

This is what I think is going on. I believe I gave you all the facts to make a decision. I do hope that you go back and read the game carefully before you seal our fate.

Firstly,
unvote M4yhem
, he has explained why he put TS at -2 although I'm unhappy we pressured to claim with a fortnight or so to go. Obviously we need to be very careful in deciding between the two claimed doctors, and as such - what the hell were those last three posts about MBF?
Based on the claim, Guardian Samurai seems more believable than Healer Samurai to me, although MBF seems to have more information on the topic. Also have found TS's reactions a little extreme (OMGUSing anyone who questions him, and a defense along the lines of 'voting for me is bad for town').
TS - can you tell us who you protected?
Romanus - you dropped your vote on TS, why did you put it over to me?

We need to make sure we don't do anything hasty - we have a fortnight to go people.

Night 0, mole (whom I am replacing) protected Brizziboi.

Night 1, I didn't protect anyone. I am ashamed to say that I completely forgot.

Thinking abouf MBF's reaction, I am convinced that he is Town.

Also, I don't know where CDB gets his info. Out of curiosity, "Healing Samurai" brings up over 500K results, and "Healer Samurai" under 200K results. "Guardian Samurai" brings up over 1000K results. Based on this, I don't think there is any reason to have such a strong disbelief of a claim for "Healing Samurai."

Maybe CDB can explain where he gets the information that lead him to that conclusion.

I think you're taking my 'info' too seriously. All I'm saying is that
in this game of mafia
, the role name pattern seems more likely to spawn 'Guardian Samurai' than 'Healer Samurai'.

You're convinced MBF's town because he decided to unvote you for as-yet-unrevealed reasons? Not buying that.

OK - I thought you meant that you knew something beyond "name pattern in this game" because you sounded so completely certain. I mean, you were willing to lynch a claimed doctor over it, you know? And at lynch or lose? You had to be sure, no? I was guessing you had more solid info, I guess I was wrong. No problem.

Now, I know I am Town, so if MBF was scum, he would NOT have backed off his voting for me, he would be very happy to help the Townies to a mislynch, with your help. So, yes, I am pretty certain that MBF is Town.

As far as I can see, that put you up to 2 votes - not that imminent a threat.

WIFOM much? Looked like jumping on the wagon without counting to me, and backing off because you were further from a lynch than thought - which if you ARE town could be scum as easily as town.
