Pine dies and you didn’t block the kill, then you know Cyrus was telling the truth about Numbers and get Numbers the next day regardless. So what if town Pine dies? Now we have less definitive proof that Cyrus was telling the truth

If you’re right about Numbers and you block him making the kill you accomplish both of the objectives - saving Pine and confirming Numbers beyond a doubt.
Saving Pine makes it more likely Numbers is scum, but doesn’t prove it. Makes no sense was not appropriate. It does make sense why you did it, but I woood have done the above. Higher risk, higher reward imo
