Max Steel's hands shook violently, like an earthquake. He was out of cigarettes, he was out of booze, and he was out of patience. He watched the fight unfold before him, quickly, decisively, through the haze of sobriety. One man accused another who pulled out his secret weapon: A cop badge. The thing looked so convincing that the man who was previously standing outside the fight decided to gang up on the one without it. But this man, even though he was cornered, was a trained fighter. Max Steel groaned. Of course, all the work had to be left up to him.

Max Steel flew at Majiffy's face with a flying knee, breaking his jaw instantly on contact. He smashed an empty fifth of whiskey on his desk and stabbed him with it while he recovered, then lit him on fire with a can of spray deodorant and his trusty but useless lighter. As predicted, this worked just fine but the spiteful man decided to run around, panic, and set everything on fire around him. Max Steel grabbed the cop out from under the falling debris, waving to the useless townie as he jumped out of the window...

...but he forgot what a long fall it was. When he woke up, the cop was gone, everyone was gone. But people were around him... smiling, clapping. Did he do it? Ambulances everywhere came bringing Max Steel to the hospital, with the doctor laughing and saying that the 12 story fall had barely broken his legs. Max Steel was the hero he always wanted to be. Everyone loved him, everyone applauded him... the man who had previously been nothing more than a violent alcoholic was now "the man who saved the city". It was like a dream come true, and in his heart, Max Steel thanked the town that made him the man he was. Freezing-hell, ArcAngel9, PHDScar, Does Bo Know, TheyMayTakeOurLivesButTheyWillNeverTakeOurFreedom, Mutleyddmc... all of them played the part in his rise from zero to hero. He realized he didn't give them as much credit as they deserved, and that ended in him building 6 statues of lions right outside his mansion representing each one of them, with the promise that he would give the living two all the help they needed with his new financial wealth.

And what happened to Majiffy, you ask? Well, he survived. Turns out he was a conniving little bastard, and listened in elementary school when they told you how to stop fires. He walked right outside, covered in soot, jumped into a river and no one had the idea to suspect him of a thing. He was a man with ice in his veins, who didn't give a shit about throwing his own partner under the bus, and he sure as hell wasn't going to be defeated by the bumbling fool Max Steel. There was a man with a nice fedora, a nice suit walking towards him... perfect for Majiffy's next disguise as a businessman, so he would be able to scam a huge business out of all they were worth. Surely he had a business card, an identity... he had done these things before, they would be perfect to get him back on track! But before he could reach his gun, the fedora stranger had one pointed right at his temple. The man took off his fedora with his other hand, smiling devilishly right before he shot Majiffy.
