I hadn't thought through how the mechanic worked. I was thinking in terms of who scum would choose to kill, as if trying to predict a doctor, instead of who is most valuable to the town after D1, which is the more relevant issue.

You've been framing this in terms of odds, which I was too at first, but I think the more relevant question is who town would rather have alive after D1. I don't think this idea that my reads are worse D2 onwards is based in reality except in terms of late game replacements.

You're the one who told me your reads at LYLO weren't great, and that your reads were best on D1. You told me that.
Ok, and Nadal's not that great on grass courts and his play is the best on clay courts.

Your response to this shouldn't be to see it as an opportunity but to think critically about why scum want you to have the baton pass today since it's reasonably obvious that there's at least 4 town on my wagon.

On the contrary, I expect him to go quite a while without deciding on a vote for anyone, if he does so at all.
