I think I made it quite clear already that the noting was just a comment to apply pressure. Indeed, true evidence I might keep to myself until it's needed. However, at the moment we know nothing yet so isn't it all townies' job exactly to pry and pressure and try and get as much reactions and thus information as possible?

I don't totally buy your meta me comment yet, since I just get an odd feeling when talking to you, all your posts seem to hide something /instinct. So for now, my vote stays on you. But relax, if you're truly innocent I'm sure I'll come around and even if not, it's just 1 vote. My hunch isn't strong enough yet that I'll try and drag others into this. I'll just see how this all develops, and maybe try and pressure some other people.

This was Xiao Long's first post of the game, and the first thing that stuck out to me of what had been posted.

Muttley reads town to me because of the dry reaction to the question in post #36, maybe its just because its something very similar to what I might say. FSnake is town also for that early questioning, its a little misguided (Muttley also had a very "dry" tone in posts #14 and #16 so I don't think he seemed "afraid" as FSnake put) but got something started, which is nice.

Back to Xiao. His very first post, and he comes in sounding - excited. Very excited. Could just be someone in their first mafia game? Well, I would've thought so previously, but for the fact that the IC in my last newbie game (1315) pointed it out as a scum tell, and not even on a newbie but an SE - to my surprise, it turned out to be accurate.

Since then, Xiao posts a little fluff, asks if it was for a reaction, and then posts that he thinks the motivation for the topic of discussion is reaction testing. Well, you don't get much of a reaction when they ask "Is this to get a reaction?" I'm still happy keeping my vote here.

Liking the activity from Didi, not going to commit on an alignment here yet but I haven't seen too much to bother me, so heading townwards. Want more activity from our IC (kettle? black? pot? ), maybe "substance" is the better word . Xeg is aggressive, will get a stronger read as we go along, gut feel is slightly unsettling but nothing I can put any sort of finger on. KP96 asked an OK question (then disappeared ), Voodoo is legit so far so I'll peg her as town. I think that covers it so far.

@FSnake - we've left RVS now. You still happy with your vote?
@Muttley - please put your serious face on. Who is scum?

@Mp5 you voted for him at the time the majority of players were posting fluff, his posts concerning pressuring/reacting came after. Also, accusing someone of being scummy for being excited early game (also considering its his first) isnt a very valid reason.

I voted Xiao in my not thought through plan only because he had a vote on him and annoyed me a little bit with his post-formats. Now you made me think about his "is this a reaction test" questions and i'm happy with my vote staying on him until i get better reads. The only other one i got a bad gut-feeling is Mutley and he wanted to post later, perhaps i change my mind then.

my other reads right now...xer-didi back and forth seems like to townies to me. but i read a few weeks ago a game where xer was participating and i remembered him to say what he thinks, maybe this influences me there.

Slimer - null, with a little distrust based on my little experience. was really mislead in the game i replaced out by Thor as SE-scum (altough i asked for replacement i obviously followed the game to finish and never would have put Thor as scum)

KP - not much there, town motivated start in the day and away for the rest of the time. but i was the same in my first game and would probably still be more quiet if i hadn't came to the resolve that only reading and posting one post a day isn't going to make me better at scumhunting. overall null for me

Voodoo - until her last post i was slightly leaning town, but the "Whoops" in her explanation about posting an hour later and not seeing Didi respond makes it null again. somehow i don't like this post about being away for an hour and posting without checking, but it's not enough to make me think she is scum.

MP5 - leaning town, but i fell for arguments-walls of the wrong guy before and put my vote (in this case let it stay) where his was. trying to be cautious

Mutley - not much there, the first one i got suspicous off but awaiting the answers he promised.

@xiao - Perhaps you did't understand Didis post about your post-format because it looks on your device like your own post. Your formatting is bad because your sentences break in a new column after 3-5words, really annoying to read. What device are you using to post?

p-edit: i read KPs concern about MP5 and it strongens my believe to be cautious about him, but i have to go for now and will think about it when i'm back (probably tomorrow)

Sometimes people phrase it weirdly or react flustered when they're actually mafia (because some people are awful liars). You sound fairly genuine though, so I'll believe you for now.


Atm besides Xegarus I also suspect Slimer, I would expect more meaningful input from an experienced player.

Right there is never going to be a lot to go on day 1. Mafia unlikely to slip up as they will know who they are and be careful on what they say. Obviously. If I had to pick, I would go with a choice of 4 at the moment. The slimer. MP5, snake and kingpin. No real suspicious though, could have easily have just random generated those and got as good a guess.

Hows about reading the thread some more then? I know it can be a drag, but there's something built in you that will click when you think you spot mafia. It's in all of us, though we're most times wrong.

Then how about actually explaining what was scummy in my posts AT THE TIME YOU VOTED. The only thing you explained that was scummy (at the time you voted) was that I was excited and then bullshit'd it by saying someone entirely different, in an entirely different game was also excited and ended up being scum.
