Scalebane, there are only 7 members of the Justice League*. Batman, Superman, J'onn, Hawkgirl, WW, Green Lantern, & Flash. So if we're assuming three mafia as is usually the case, then we have at
least
one non-JL pro-town role. And I've seen nothing that suggests all of the JL are in the game. The only confirmed role we have is Batman, one of the big two heros.

*if we dealing with the cartoon here, which I think we are.

I stand quite corrected. Although, they could have aquaman in there and it wouldn't surprise me terrible much. For people looking for info, http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/watch/tv_shows/jl/ has some good basic information.[/url]

With a character that's questionably pro-town, such as perphaps Aquaman or another good character who may or may not be in the game, I would push for a role. But, still arguing that all role-claims must include abilities would help only the mafia decide whether they should kill me tonight, or chance killing another random person with perhaps a better role.

I'll admit that it would be an interesting twist to include a JL traitor, but we've got no indication that one exists. We should be open to the possibility, but the town should not risk giving the mafia more information in doing so.

Unvote Yggdrasil

I'm not going to vote for Coolbot yet, though if we get close to the deadline I will.

Normally I'd suspect the one non mafia to be a SK rather than pro town - that seems to be the way games go for this amount of players - but it's hard to say with only one death on day one

Gin can you explain why a vote for coolbot? Or is it that you will vote coolbot when time runs out if he still has the majority for a bandwagon jump?
What is the point of using foul language, downright rudeness, slurs, etc on a gaming site? This is really distasteful.

UnVote: Foolster41

FoS: Coolbot

He claimed, and you'd figure Wonder Woman would be in the game. It could be harmful if he gave out abilities (providing he's telling the truth, I personally believe him) just like he said...like if he was a doc-like char, they'd go straight after him tonight, then we'd have no doc :?

And on the topic of "do you think they're all there?" - Yeah, I don't think they would leave any of the major chars out.

I mean that if time is going to run out, it's better for the town to get a lynch than none at all - no lynch only really helps the mafia in most situations. If this looks as if it's going to happen, I'll move for coolbot for the reasons quoted above.

That's kind of the reason I'm not voting for you now.

I'm not going to vote for you without good reason, and in my opinion the possibility of no lynch due to a deadline is a good reason. But I won't vote for you until that forces me to.

Sorry for not posting in a while, but I had a lot to do over the weekend. Anyway I read all the posts and I'm up to dat so I'm going to unvote my random vote on gammie.
unvote: gammie
And yes Collbot does sound a little suspicous by asking for a role claim. I don't see why he would want a role claim if no one else opposed him. As suspicous as coolbot seems let's not lynch him before he role claims. So I'm going to
vote: coolbot
It will be tough for him to make a good role claim if he is scum.

*Don't lynch him before we give him a chance to role claim*

Wow.

Some AMAZING logic we have so far.

Tell me townie brethren, is it better that we have 1 less innocent or 2 less innocents?

Just keep that in mind.

Hi.
Not a whole lot to go off of just yet. I think it's supicous of Ygg to suggest the mass role claim thing, but maybe he's just new. (I havn't seem him in any games before).
I have to agree it could be risky forcing full role claims since a doc, cop or vig might be forced to give away theif cover.

Have you not read the thread closely enough to remember that he RCed wonder woman, and as such is rather cleared? I was just wondering ...

Just to let you know, I didn't intend the roles to be given out, just the JL character names. That would be sufficient if a mass role-claim is ever needed. Plus, there are no JL-chars that are obviously a doc, cop or vig, so giving out our character names would not hurt the town too much.

But, because of the possibility of traitor JL characters or unused JL-characters, we should probably use the mass role-claim as only a last resort.

So in your mind, it's better to lynch someone right before a deadline? It sounds like you'll vote late in the hopes I won't see and won't have time to mount a defense. That's a scum move if I've ever heard it.

Well, you have this time to make a defense. Which you're not, you're just voting for me. Way to make yourself look guilty :P. If we get to a situation where we're either going to end up with no lynch, or lynching someone we're not completely sure on to my mind it's better to go for the latter, simply because at this early stage of the game it gives us a clue as to who is who.

Anyway, big
FoS CoolBot
but as yet no vote. as I say I _am_ giving you a chance to defend yourself.

Hm, deadline is soon I hope everyone is comfortable with their decisions, you know? If it's what feels right, go for it.

I hope everyone who celebrates thanksgiving enjoys their holiday, and everyone who doesn't enjoy their days as well (Oh I think in canada and maybe some other places it was celebrated already right? You enjoy as well)
I am going home tomorrow morning on vacation from where I am now, I have already voted, and just in case there is a revote needed I will pm a confirmation vote. I am saying this because I am not sure if I will get to a computer by the deadline, and during my vacation. But I will most definately try.

Enjoy and be well, safe and cool-esque !!! :D

I think CoolBot should roleclaim now, as we have less than a day until the deadline passes. As of now, he is the best target for a lynching, but if he can prove his innocence from a roleclaim, we should not waste a lynch on an innocent. However, I think that lynching someone on the first day is preferable to a no lynch due to the deadline.

Why is a no lynch undesirable? In mafia, the town gains information on how people act during voting. Who defends who? Who accuses who? When all is said and done, who turns out to be telling the truth and who is likely lying? By going with no lynch, we deprive the town of valuable information.

Therefore, a huge
FOS: Coolbot
for implying that no lynch is better than voting to lynching right before the deadline. If CoolBot does not roleclaim within 12 hours, I say we should vote to lynch him (unless we can get the deadline extended).

Ygg, where did I ever impy a no lynch is a good thing? Stop trying to put words in my mouth.

My issue is Gin apparently wanted my bandwagon to wait until we were pushing up against the deadline. My fear is he's doing this so I wouldn't think I was in trouble and not have a chance to defend myself. If someone wants me lynched, vote me, not wait until right before the deadline to do so. The rather large number of fos's instead of votes isn't making me feel any better about this.

Since I'm leaving town for the holiday tonight, I will make my claim. I'm Kilowog, the back up to the Green Lantern.

Well, you do have 4 votes on you already. With 6 to lynch people are reluctant to put on a 5th vote, because a newbie or perhaps someone who miscounted the votes might mistakenly put up the 6th vote, creating an unwanted lynch.
