wait

did my two scummies and join date two years prior to you fool you? :P

I'm not offended at all -- it's a valid question, though way off base. I'm not new to mafia in the slightest, though I don't pretend to be t3h best player evar.

More likely, you are new to MS meta, because the townhunting comment is pretty straightforward and common.

Full town cases are, in fact, terrible, and that's also a pretty standard opinion. Many people here actually believe that sharing townreads at all is something you shouldn't do.

So I return the question to you: how new to mafia games are YOU?

Oi.

Have mercy on the non-native, my English curled up in horror halfway through this. Can you rephrase it?

I think I got the gist of it, Tierce. Would you like me to give it a go, or wait for his explanation?

I'd like him to rephrase it.

I'm not sure where my other head is, but Wednesday I'll be spending a good part of the day in airports/flying. I'll do something with this game then.

If you see my join date you will understand how much my knowledge of mafiascum is lacking :p

I'm not new to mafia at all, just dot hints slightly differently to you guys I guess. I like to scum read rather than town read, so I look for the worst in people rather than the best in them. A good mafia player can look more town than a bad town player can scumslip if that makes sense.

Your veteran status then bothers me that you have been as loose with your comments, but then again your lack of caring how you come across feels more genuine than some. You are 50:50.

Townhunting is just as effective as scumhunting in the end. It's the way you reach the end that changes.

I like using both. It makes me tingly inside.

...Or maybe that's the chicken.

losing my appetite for an amrun lynch although there was stumble

@ venny

you seem to have no idea of what to do. I think your votes and the line of your thoughts seem somehow disconnected from what is actually going on in the game. independent thought usually points to a town mindset, but you are out of rhythm while you are doing it.

Generic, I like to both scum and town read at the same time, like Ankamius. (And in fact, we have successfully hydraed before doing just that.)

I have tinfoil hat theories about scum already. You were one of them but this exchange has come off extremely genuinely. And THAT is why I like townhunting -- yes, good scum can appear town, but that's part of the game, sorting out which is which.

Ankamius, what are your reads? Get under my tinfoil hat with me, baby.

It's a bit harder to townhunt in this game because the only players I really know are Nacho and Ank, and everyone else i don't know.

However, I am sitting on my Amrun vote nicely because I don't think that stream of votes on Generic were void of scum influence, and Amrun's position on said wagon is what is bothering me. Mainly because Amrun seemed inclined to join the wagon
only
after CDB joined. You can tell by the timestamp between her vote and Nacho's, and the PEdit in the post she voted helps form that assumption. There's something about holding the 3rd spot on the wagon that shows remarkable results for being a scum spot.

Reckoner is town btw.

That's very silly. I just love early game wagons. They are the best.

Third position I understand -- why CDB? What conclusions do you draw about CDB's alignment from this?

That's kind of an understatement.

@Venmar Bah, who needs meta? I just peek into people's minds and see what their true motivations are. How do you think I've been able to stay in power all this time?

okay okay we stomped face :3

But why didn't you answer my question?

Yes, I love early game wagons too, they're getting me somewhere.

I don't think CDB's alignment has too much of a role in my conclusion to be honest. Town or scum, her vote is really what would drive you to join the wagon. I do think CDB is more likely town than scum in this situation, however. That's not my definite read for her slot, but it's what i draw from it I guess.

CDB is a man with a very manly man voice.

If you love early wagons, y u be hatin on them.

I actually suspect you now, but the first time I voted you, which was eaten pre-crash, I just voted you because YAY wagons. (Ironically, also following CDB, but in slot 2.) I was going to vote CDB for YAY WAGONS but he had quite a few votes accumulated and I didn't want to lolhammer.

Just a little recap for those of you who were frolicking pre-tiger.

I didn't say I hate early game wagons. Since they got me a scumread, I think it should be obvious I like them, like I said in my previous post.

Oh, somehow I didn't see that.

I'll have to go through the game again real fast. I've been too busy drinking and whoring myself into an early grave to think too hard about more than 3 players at once.

Which three players are you thinking about now?

by BROseidon
Okay, seems like we lost a lot of important stuff in the crash that I didn't get to read, so I don't get where a bunch of these reads are coming from. I have little idea what is going on and don't have time to do the rereads necessary to get good reads, but right now I like Ankamius and macmollie for town Nacho seems a little off. Woohoo weak day 1 reads >.>

VOTE: Nacho

Yeah, I only have three non-null reads so far

Generic town
KillerApple scum
Tierce scum

Reads on the rest of the playerlist will have to wait until more stuff happens. No one else really is giving me any particular vibes one way or the other.

PEdit: All of these reads are from stuff that's from post-rollback.

I didn't want your scum/townlist, just what stuck out to you so far.

Generic wagon
#57-#59

Two main things so far.

What about Tierce's "Really?" struck you that hard?

Posted: Mon Jun 24, 2013 5:31 pm
by Ankamius
It gave me bad vibes.

Specifically, it felt like a really arbitrary thing to draw attention to in that manner. Reck's response sounded like he was either mocking that or just using that as a time to make a joke, both of which are null.
