Charloux is currently experiencing connectivity issues. Please consider him V/LA until these issues are resolved.

I suspect those who try to establish themselves as leader of the town at the start of the game. WCSBO also seems to be talking a lot as to not seem suspicious for being too quiet. A lot of posts that really don't accomplish anything but remind everyone that they are actively participating in the discussion. Accountant seems to be the most experienced here, so we should keep an eye out on him (her?)

I play a decent amount of mafia in person, and maybe over forums it's different. We'll see

So essentially you suspect Accountant for being experienced/scum hunting, and WCSBO for having a high post count.

This looks like more playstyle than alignment.

As for being a leader, well, I generally try to lead the town as IC, regardless of my alignment. I could show you some games where this happened, if you wish.

Announcing things like going shopping doesn't really accomplish anything, and I don't see any purpose to it besides increasing post count and seeming less quiet. "Fluff" (as you call it) is sus to me because it's basically fake participation.

I'm not sure at all about you Accountant. I have a feeling that if one of you does turn out to be scum, the other won't be.

Accountant has the same chance of flipping scum as any of us. Him portraying a leadership role is inevitable, since that's his purpose this game.

I'm glad you explained your thoughts, and i find them genuine.

Thanks Transcend. Also just to be clear - Accountant - are you saying you will still honestly help town if you are on maf side? Because that's a big reason I mentioned you - because you are teaching newbies like me how the game works, you can easily mislead us to help the mafia win.

Yes. As an IC, I have to follow these rules strictly.

I doubt he'll throw the game for town should he be maf, but he'll make sure that everyone is comfortable and understands the basics. Don't expect him to play against his wincon tho.

Looking over his ISO, I'm reading Char as scum. Almost everything he posted on page 3 was either fluff (posts 50, 62) or attempts to divert attention away from himself (54, 63, 71). Post 54 contradicts post 51, and his justification - that everyone else was doing it so he did it too - isn't good enough for me. His attempts to look like he is contributing are pretty weak (51, 67) and his play-style explanation in post 65 - that his play-style is using logic and gut feelings - to me doesn't hold water.

I believe that puts him at L-2, or am I wrong?

Alright

While i do approve of the votes on Charloux I'm gonna be SE-y for a bit and say that we can be wrong on him and I don't want a derp hammer happening while he's unable to defend himself. Giving him a chance to defend himself is fair imo.

Like my fos on him doesn't have much meat to it, rather is just a place I'm comfortable voting.

Fair enough. He is v/la atm.

Why did you unvote

He's still top of my scum list. But I'm not 100%, and if I'm wrong I don't want to be responsible for him being quicklynched. Hes v/la at the moment and can't defend himself, and it was definitely a mistake on my part to vote him in the first place. Plenty of time left before the deadline. But I'm still giving him the shifty eyes.

Why do you think that you would be responsible for him getting quicklynched when you're only putting him at L-2, with Transcend already having publicly warned against quicklynching?

It is a newbie game and it takes a single mistake to vote him out. I personally don't suspect Norska any more because of his cancel

Maybe I'm using the wrong terminology. But if Char is town, and I put him at L-2, couldn't the two scum players both jump on him and get him lynched? It wouldn't be smart, since it would make them seem suspicious, but I've already made mistakes in this game so I can't rule it out.

If that happens, the person who quickhammered would almost certainly get lynched, and the scum who L-1'd him would be placed under massive suspicion. It would be great for town if that were to happen!

Well, me being so quick to vote and then unvote was a pretty stupid thing to do, since it made me look suspicious and now I'm left confused as to whether I should be voting for him or not.
