wow nice!

Give me a sec and i'll pull up an example on me calling out scum for a similar type of rvs post (and getting flak for it!)

Anyways ur prob town
Kinda conflicted on luv's soft defense of me
I think his jump on you for what is very obviously as strong as a day 1 read can possibly be is the only thing being stretchy to me
I don't like it, it's pinging me the wrong way

Like, why announce "if you're right I wanna lynch you for it"
that's not the type of thing you announce in this type of timing, especially if you're trying to gauge out scum?

I mean, if you end up being right — kudos, but there’s no way I’m buying it this early
It’s early game plus you don’t have to buy it. Why are you trying to shade skitter for voting sky?

I kinda think menalque's respomse makes sense as a holistic thought process

Esp depending on what kind lf mafia community he's coming from

I disagree

I'm almost embarassed to ask, cause I spent whole games not kowing this, but

What does hollistic thought process mean in this context?

First time I’ve seen it used in a mafia game

Probably something he threw in to make him seem more intelligent. It’s a werid defense, one I’ll closely monitor

Eh maybe i made up the term (i've def used it before) but basically it means that i can track his thought process from post to post, and that it makes sense coming from a consistent underlying pov - it makes me think that they're less likely to have made it up if i can track a natural evolution of thoughts over a series od posts

Hollistic is an existing word, I just wasn't sure how to apply it here

I get what you mean. But he didn't really post much so that seems like a weird conclusion to make

Is it just me that’s forgetting there is only 9 players?

^^^ it makes sense if he's never seen anyone make a read like that before, i can understand why hr might come to the conclusion that it onlh makes sense if i have some sort of insider info

Esp if he's coming from f2f mafia or something

That's fine as a thought process, I'm just sticking to the fact he decided to announce it, so now it produces no information for town (hence my comment on timing).

That's the type of insight town usually keeps to itself until it actually produces information.

My apologies. I tend to not notice and/or remember genders.

This can easily be done by scum btw.

I don't really think the timing of it is too relevant; he's a newer player and in general it makes sense to get thoughts out as they come. I see your push on him as more of a stretch than his.

Do you think there's scum motivation there, though? I'm not really seeing it.

The motivation is eagerness to look townie. While townie would indeed feel "hum, if skitter keeps the push and it flips red, I'll know she's red too", I don't see townie would feel it's necessary to make that announcement right away. I mean, if townie does that, skitter corrects her course right away and now the associative is gone. Whereas scum (and especially newer scum), feels that too, correctly identifies it as townie thought process, and produces it for the rest of the thread.

This is how I see it.

To be more specific, I think it's more of a slip than a scum-driven agenda post.
