I will straight up disregard all reason if you have a PR dream again. You can come back and be like, “I dreamt that Locke is a N2 Bulletproof Multitasking Cop and Self-Targeting Doctor,” and I will go, “Okay, Locke kill it is then.”

You know it doesn’t technically count as a VC if you take the penultimate post before it right

You see, I came here from the ToS Forum Mafia section. For about a year I played Mafia on that forum, and by the end I was without a doubt the most skilled active player there. Eventually the disparity was so vast that I had to be banned to keep things fair for the rest of the players (officially it was for abrasiveness, as many of their players suffer from SSS and my personality conflicted with that).

Anyway, I always claim day one (and yes it was serious, for those that didn't understand that), and press others for their claims. I do this for the purpose of analyzing the behavior of others to determine if they are scum or town. Already I'm picking apart your posts and those of others for a level of analysis that is probably higher than you could comprehend.

I slowly become meaner the better I am, I think

one of the best things I learned was to abandon good/optimal play (and how well/poorly people are playing) and think about why the player you're looking at is acting a certain way.. spending a huge amount of time empathising with how people are posting and trying to see ways in which they could be town has been working really well for me.

I think your experience catches up to you sometimes. Since you've experienced eras in site culture where policy was considered really important, I think you have a firmer stance about "good"/optimal play than quite a lot of us. Technically that's not a negative thing. But I can see why it could get in the way of read accuracy.

Some people still freeze up and make decisions based on who played "better" (or who they'd "rather lose to"), rather than who they think is scum. It happens at nearly all levels of play, I think. I can definitely see how human nature and instinct lends itself to reading people like that.

I am half asleep here so mayyy be rambling a bit. Sorry

Yes:

It would be really great if you could find an image to have as an avatar.
It helps with player identification, especially later on when all the posts kind of meld into each other.
Just find a small image size on google, and in your user control panel, upload the image as your avatar.

If you are town, the best thing you can do is be active, but try and post meaningful posts where you are analysing others player's posts and trying to determine the motivation behind them.
Do they sound like mafia with the motive of going for an easy lynch of a helpless townie? Do they sound like they are a townie genuinely trying to poke and prod to solve the game?

If you are scum, I have a nice and comfy appropriately sized noose <3
In post 52, 72offsuit wrote: Agree. I get a bad vibe from the post. It sounds to me more like Information Instead of Analysis. Like you say, its a just a generic state of play rehash without actually bringing town closer to deciding a lynch.

Worst yet, Atarashi doubles down that they haven't made a conclusion
yet
. As if its some golden nugget that will reap some mysterious rewards later.

I'm jumping on the wagon. I encourage others to do so too.
No ticket required to jump on board this train.

In particular, I believe that his initial interaction was done with a good intention. I was unable to feel bias coming from text , directed at
Doobie
, especially due to self-confidence in the last sentence.

The same sentiment is replicated in post . These characteristics are typical of a
town mentality
.

I can't imagine the post being typed by
scum!72
, considering that he has no experience as
scum
, most of his games are as
town
- so he is expected to act more cautiously, less loose, when he witnessed his first game as
scum
. Which, clearly, didn’t seem to be the case here:

''
Wow, fail didnt see this post in my rush to post lol

I may be wrong about that, but it is up to you to decide. In any case, I intend to use this initial read as a basis to build a PoE with the information of your role.
