This Espeonage wagon has grown far too quickly. I looked into him over the night phase, and i'm pretty sure he's town.

That made no sense to me and looked like Tragedy was trying to make up flavor that the mod gave her which was really just her own work. Add to that the fact that she was claiming ANOTHER obscure character that was a VT, and it just was not believable at all to me. Why would I give someone else time to reconsider when I had decided the claim was fake?

I agree that the claim was made in a weird form, and by all means don't get me wrong: Tragedy was scummy, I thought she was scum and I would have hammered her myself. But if I had asked her to claim, as you did, I would have needed more than 5 minutes to decide it it was or wasn't a convincing claim.

still looks pretty fast to me. Did you know who waddle doo is? I ask cuz I didn't, I had to google it, and it would have taken me more than 5 minutes to read the claim, check the web, decide that the claim is not believable and hammer.

P-EDIT: @xtoxm - the Espeo wagon hit L-2 yesterday. That is when it grew, not now.

Yes, I knew who waddle doo was. That's how I knew waddle doo was ANOTHER obscure character. I've never hammered before that I can remember, so I kinda wanted the honor of hammering scum. Too bad the mod is screwing with our minds and there are apparently no major characters in this game.

Speculating like this is just begging for someone to softclaim to deny/confirm that they aren't able to deny the possibility of these scenarios. It's too early for this shit still.

In other news, Espeonage is scum because (mostly off the top of my head, too lazy to iso)

-strategic D2 lurkage
-the whole lelouch thing
-claims to still not have any opinions on day freaking three. I mean, I know this game's been terrible info-wise with the mass lurking, but c'mon.
-seemed to have a strong feeling that I was scum until some point D2, when he unvoted and voted xtoxm without saying so much as a word about me. Later he says he unvoted because he "got told", but what he really meant was "obvtown people in no uncertain terms told me esurio's lynch was not going to happen, so I backed off."

on the other hand xtoxm is doing this whole "let me call someone who voted me town in an attempt to get on their good side" thing, which I happen to think is a glorious scumtell under certain conditions. I'd have to do some isoing to make that call for sure, though.

I would recommend players stop discussing whether they believe the game has any major characters, for obvious reasons.

Right now my reads fit in with the group, and just listing them out would rehash what has already been said.

Since the two lynches we've had have both been town, I'm thinking the scum are among the people who are lurking (If you want to be a jerk and call me out on this, go ahead, it should make you look more town) but clearly all of them couldn't be.

If you're going to do something you recognize as scummy, attempting to preemptively omgus anyone who criticizes your play is a good point of attack as well.

Yes, it's the noob card. This is my third game on the site, i'm not used to the style of play, or the games for that matter.

Ok I will have internet at home within the week. Then I will have time to read the thread. I have read about 40 posts since the end of day 1.

@Pinky: Mainly because Espeonage was already at least at L-3. No need for a quick wagon lynch to happen.

I doubt this is a reverse mafia. Why would the major hero's want to take out their creator? But talking about set-up is kinda pointless.

This extends to anything else than can be used to deduce something about your own role while offering nothing helpful to the town.
