Volxen definitely doesn’t deserve the townreads he’s getting, btw, even as I don’t really think he’s scum

His reason for townreading DT appears similar to Irre's reason -- that he feels DT is trying to gamesolve without bothering about looking scummy -- I think that's a valid stance to take.

Refer to his relative certainty that RC/DT couldn’t be T/T. His scumlean on Clemency that has stuck all game but gone nowhere. His inability to explain most of his townreads etc

His response to the RC/DT thing was that it's likely that one is aggressive scum riling up the other - I think it's a fair stance.
He explicitly stated he had a scumlean on Clemency but there's better pushes to make - Valid.

Was he questioned about townreads?

I asked him to explain his SR townread, he said he couldn’t really
He also has offered no reasons for any townreads w/o being asked that I can think of

Do you think he was right about DT/RC having at least one scum? I don’t think so, and therefore the scum motivation to insist that there must be one is kinda obvious to me

He's just picking sides between players. He says RC/DT can't be TvT, so he picks a side. He perceives a divide between me/you or me/DT, so he picks a side. It feels like scum looking to choose sides between townies instead of town actually trying to understand where me or RC are coming from.

I wouldn't say he was engaging you about anything. He was defending his reads without any attempt to understand why he's wrong.
