Yes. Otherwise the mafia may choose to murder Echo for being townread and directing the other players. If they know he will be mad on D2 that we hammered then they may decide to leave him alive to create conflict.

For some meta commentary, being the town friendly neighbor is actually really hard. You want to use your role on people you think are town. You won't want to use you role on people you think are scum. But if you pick the towniest people to use your role on, then they'll just get nightkilled and it'll go to waste.
