I mean I want to give him another day phase or two because I think he’s not in a great spot to legitimately show his alignment because he’s kinda trapped

I reread my role in preparation for potentially needing to claim, and it turns out I'd misread it before.

I am no longer okay dying and letting Ari have it. I mean, not to specifically keep it away from Ari, just that dying makes it lose a lot more of its utility than I had initially thought.

I'm not willing to elaborate further on this, but yeah, I'm a lot less willing to accept my fate now.

I'm supremely intrigued, but also this sounds genuine.

He's TOWN. I'm sure of it now (judging by his responses and will to cooperate after being pushed). This is NOT the issue though. If it was up to me I'd go for a NO LIM because not a single slot has "obv!Scum'ed" to me, but the majority of the players -including and spearheaded by RR- think a mislim is better than No Lim, so I was driving the wagon on him on principle (and it did give me the desired outcome of having a read on him).

Now, we have multiple options and not enough time to discuss and evaluate them all.

1) Go ahead with the RR lim. The most precious advantage is he's willing to self-hammer, so no Hated slot on D2
2) Switch to DotW. I'm cool with that, but what if another "I'm Town and I can prove it"?
3) Go for Titus. She already said she wanted to be eliminated, but I wanted her alive to -at least- try to VCA on D3
4) This may come to you as a surprise, but I myself wouldn't mind going if the likes of Gamma are going to misread my intentions. If Gamma can't tell this is 100% Town!me he's either scum or I have no place in this game.

Alright, let me clarify things here.

Yes, a mislim is better than a no lim.
That does NOT mean we should eliminate someone who we EXPECT to flip Town. In a situation with no strong scumread, you're probably gonna have to bite the bullet and lim someone you might have a light townread on. Strong townreads should still be avoided where possible, and if someone is conftown then they shouldn't even be up for debate.

My problem is, I suspect you already knew that's what I meant. I think you deliberately framed things in such a way that you can push a mislim and not have to be held accountable for it, while removing a lot of my capacity to defend myself.

I went along with it for longer than I should have, because I felt my flip would be informative, and Ari would be able to use my role to similar, if not greater, effect. But that's no longer true after I reread things, and clarified a bit with the mod.

As I said, we don't -and I mean Town collectively- have the time to discuss all options (this is what happens when you spend several days doing nothing at the start of the game). The thing now is I have several slots I won't touch because I TR, and some others that will resolve themselves within 2 cycles. I have only 3 slots left (if we exclude RR) to vote: Yuki, DotW or superbowl slot. I doubt we have the time to wagon Yuki, and I doubt even more superbowl will be an acceptable lim. I don't oppose a DotW lim, but -as I said- I expect another claim (of course there's going to be one regardless of whether it true or fake), and we all know someone's going to unvote at that point. So my question is: what next? Do we go ahead and throw DotW to the lions regardless? Or do we try to flash wagon yet another alternative? That's why I laid down the options in 764, and I didn't even include Yuki or sb for fear of hitting a strong PR with 5 minutes left to deadline.

Is it confirmed that 2 mastinas is town-aligned? I know tree stumps are, just curious if we think there's a chance they aren't.

Also, I'm not the absolute worst mislim...my role is actually weaker than a VT and I don't think Ari would be able to use it because I can't use it on other people. That's good to me because I still think they're scum but bad if we want them to be able to use the PR of the D1 flip N1 to judge them

If Ari isn't happening I could do NDmath, Yuki, SB9, or Titus

I am happy Yuki is on RR because I am happy being on RR
