Haha, at least you linked it to the right page
Okaaaaaay. I guess.
I'ved moved it instead, it's not in open setups but in the other steup category. Long live the poop.

Admittedly I just like to overcomplicate things
Yay I think I like to overcomplicate too much too.
I guess the best course of action is to pull a Mr. stoofer and run 9:2 with neighbors night only and ability to talk to next guy if guy in between you dies
What are town odds of winning 10:2 or 9:2?
Is there any kind of crazy limit to the private topics thread I should know about, because this game is going to amount to A LOT of PTs getting made?
I'm doing it night only as i feel the main game thread will get little love if day talk neighboring is allowed. And having people post in the game should kinda be needed in all games. Nights will likly need to be 3-4 days so that people actually get something out of them. I lean towards 3
If you see any problems with these let me know, otherise I'll try to get this added to the theme thread after my RITP game has gotten moving

10:2 = Town win rate 35.2%
9:2 = 35.2% Town win
Might be able to reduce neighborhoods by reusing some, creates a cool effect where you can see what the dead talked about in their neighborhood too.

Where did you get those numbers from?
Any roles you think should or could be added to tip the odds without ruining the games purpose?
If instead of
if X dies move houses
scum can be in same neighborhood
I changed the rules to
X dies, houses no move
scum CAN'T be in same neighborhood
Do you think that would help or hurt the town any?
want to be backup mod since you are helping me plan this out?

actually I am going to withdraw that suggestion immediately. It feels like it would go against the spirit of the game as first person with a neighbor buddy to die has greater odds of being scum
I think we may have to settle for a 60-40
I figure the neighborhoods at most will tip things almost 5%
backup or co-mod is still out there for you if you are up for it

Yeah sure.
I guess my only gripe is things like this have been done before see: chatroom mafia or whatever it was called

I insist you flavor it like SPECTRE's meeting room. Including the lightning rod chair of doom.

I can't find it, but it was like chatroom mafia or something.

It wasn't exactly the same, you should be fine. I think it had no discussion in main thread, but every player had four chatrooms they could talk in.

If I have any great ideas for the game I'll let you know, I'll think on it
Maybe a Doctor who can only protect his neighbor, or a Friendly Neighbor who can only target a neighbor. Either might be good.

So I have a setup that I want it refined.
What I want to know the most is if this setup can be broken in any way.
And then balance, etc if possible. Probably too swingy to be called balanced but meh
(And before you guys go "lol how do scum win this", both times I ran this in this site were both scum win, with one of them being marathon with 6v1 variant)
The one I modded in micro not-so-long-time-ago mafias didn't know if they were self dayvigs or not.

Well if the mafia dayvig can't anonymously submit, the best idea is to treat it like a 7:2 nightless. 7:2 nightless should usually be a town win.
Otherwise it's a 7:2 nightless with 1 mafia kill, which is a bit more balanced.
Real question is "is the town dumb enough to use the worthless vig shots they've been given?"
Also there's a stupid "race to post" effect if the mafia have a shot left in LyLo, so they should just autowin in LyLo. And saving the shot is 99% the right option. So it might degrade to a 7:2 nightless where scum automatically win if scum players + 1 = Town players.

Ah, I forgot some more stuffs.
1. Everyone MUST submit via PM.
2. There is a grace period after every shot. No one can shoot during the grace period.
Anyways scum wins when town shoots itself so Scum coasts.

You're always going to have some town shoot, and the people signing up know this and therefore will he the ones to shoot. As the game it's based on, it's all luck who wins.

your basicly having a setup where its:
nobody shoots and its mountainous
or
everyone shoots and hope for best
again its a mixture of luck (hoping your not a self-shooting), and hoping you got good reads when you fired the shot

All right.
So it should be balanced by a player size.
Thanks for the comments!
