Cut out the weird gambits because doing weird things when everyone is paranoid is just going to make them rail against you (weird things like "please lynch me"). And finally, learn how to interact with a much more paranoid Tammy. She hates the game right now, everyone is scum: her read on you will fluctuate to irrational, rational, irrational. You cannot expect her to have the same accuracy in reading you she would have early. You have to thoroughly consider why she's feeling the way she's feeling and respond to her concerns fully. You can't let JSU continue to carry a retarded scum read on her.

I have been telling both JSU and Tammy that the other is town, they are only getting more annoyed, not convinced so I figure it is something they need to work out for themselves. But that turns into a massive flame war in thread.

It will disappoint me thoroughly, but it's a hell of a lot better than fucking over the game because YOU want out while there's a way you can get out of the game without fucking over anyone.

you need to take the opposite approaches to them.
JSU you can be abrasive with because both are being extraordinarily dumb, but Tammy you have to wean off slowly. Spend a lot of time actually analyzing their play, try to keep emotion out of it for the most part. Look at why objectively there is not a whole lot of scum motivation in what they're doing.

The gentle approach is probably how I'm going to handle AP when responding to him about you because I see where his frustrations re: gamestate lie and they are valid enough.

So, why do you think JSU thinks Tammy is scum, and Tammy thinks I'm scum, and she thinks that JSU is scum when it is apparent that both of them are town?

I don't know why JSU thinks Tammy is scum. I mostly think that's just JSU putting their pants on their heads and I think they'll realize it if I call them dumb enough times for it.

JSU has made two strong pushes on townies and everyone is dismissing them as scum because of an emotional reaction. The biggest flaw people make with Tammy's scum game (and the reason it isn't utter trash) is because people dismiss her emotion as town automatically. In addition, JSU is making shitty pushes on two really obvious town (Tammy and Stalin) and their reasons for town clearing you are pretty incredibly horrible and that feeds into her paranoia about you.

Tammy is paranoid about you because you're playing the game like she is. You reacting strongly when she suspects you is not something she's used to at all: most players who know her view her paranoia as a staple of her game, and thus don't react strongly to it in thread at all. You're essentially claiming that she should be able to read you more accurately than you should be able to read her, which is a manipulative (although natural) interaction that goes in the face of her opinion as you as a player who can read you: she expects people who can read her well to have her as a rock, to know exactly how town she's being. People with a decent track record of reading her (aka Muffin) won't ever reach the people who read her well list because it's the reading her as town when she's town part that's important, not the reading her scum as scum.

You are the only person who knows how town you are.
Other people recognize it fine enough, Tammy will have a progressively more difficult time the more paranoid she gets. She gets more paranoid the more you try to strong arm her into reading you as town.

Remember: you thought there was a snowball's chance in hell that Tammy was scum. You ignored the larger body of work to focus on something tiny and insignificant. This is the nature of paranoia.

That makes sense. Should I just stop trying to convince JSU/Tammy to lay off of each other because for my efforts, I don't seem to be able to convince them, (JSU finally came around though).

Convincing Tammy will take a lot of work and a lot of patience, but it can be done.

Convincing JSU won't be hard if they take their heads out of their asses.
