Gambler is basically like day priority. Doesn't matter what happens in the night, the people selected are already selected after the lynch.

So basically as an example, after JJ is gone all 9 of us (minus Jake) get put into a lottery and chosen as apart of the gambler effect.

It can also choose someone who's gonna die that night, so basically it can also be useless and pick someone already confirmed town too. It like the lottery. Usefulness depends on luck. It just happened that JJ got put up against me while also confirming me, lol.
