If I am to be honest, us scum bois did not plan it out like this at allIn post 6167, innocentvillager wrote:
dang you foresaw this exact scenario up to the lylo. well plannedIn post 6166, OkaPoka wrote:HOPKIRK YOU BEAUTIFUL BASTARD
It was more, we fucked up losing control of the thread and we kinda undid the fuck ton of work that went into day 1/start of d2 to basically split the game into two factions, and the only way we could salvage a win out of this mess was this. Again, shoutout to hopkirk for salvaging it because even though he ended up being townread n2 during elo, getting there from how doomed it looked after 3 chained scumlims is not an easy task.- OkaPoka

and then of course gotta say shoutout to dannflor for drawing the nightkill n1 because he was the sole person we thought that had the charisma, towniness, and leadership ability to break apart our entire plan and shepherd the townies to salvation. our only hesistation on not killing u was u were so charming that you'd be the obvious doc save and we only panic last second swapped to you.- OkaPoka

going down the list
titus - basically ended up getting the closest to solving elo and ngl i was kinda scared the most about you in elo when hopkirk got there. i was like ah shit titus is starting to try.
innocentvillager - you were one of the few people that the collective scumteam couldn't really hardpocket one way or the other, which is pretty big props to you. a lot of the list, i felt that either me or hopkirk could count on using as vote backup or a target to lim, but you were neither which is pretty poggers.
mastina - well you singlehandedly ended my dreams of endgaming so yeah, that was pretty sad to realize that i could never win because you existed
AGar - as i said before, you probably had the scariest reads out of everyone, closest to actually solving the complete game, managed to pierce through the many attempts at water muddying we tried with herc and hop to the point where i was personally convinced you were the one sitting on a hop guilty which directly lead to buying time for jjh to make his hero play and all this time we were too scared to nk u because ur reads were that good
hopkirk/bell/luca - i love all my scumpartners
hop ur beautiful for winning this mess
bell and luca ur beautiful for replacing in and sticking with the slow collapse of the scumteam as we panicked in realization that we were all getting scumread by someone
xtoxm - an actual legitimate unlimmable motherfucker that forced us to waste a shot on a vt because there was no way in hell anyone of us were going to ever, under any circumstance, ever lim you guys
dannflor - run for president
flakes - you had some serious moments of clarity especially early d1 that tanked ducky's slot enough where i felt it carried over to bell, that's a pretty big thing to do. if i were to credit someone for the bell lim, it'd be you because pressuring ducky early really hurt bell's chances, even if i didn't want to believe it, to going far. and i know you didn't vote bell, but in reality i think tanking scum's cred early is lowkey a lot more important than actually being the vote for them.
lld - immediately the biggest threat to scum from like your third post to the point where the scumteam as a collective entirely dropped their gameplan to try and townbloc with each other and instead pivot to entirely playing around the dynamics of you. you pretty much singlehandedly forced us to hedge our bets against and with you and ended our dreams of a glorious scum super bloc.
dgb- man i got super scared of you d1 because you were dead onto me, without a doubt if you got to d2 i'd probably have eaten rope on d2 and who knows what would happen in that scenario.
jjh - if mastina was the person who heated up the fryer, you were the one who suplexed me into the hot oil
ceph - you were the person i identified as the biggest obstacle to hopkirk winning lylo because in the sea of chaos and weirdness, you were like the one person who was sane and rational to put things together. and man, you were like the only person not convinced that agar was my buddy, and that agar being my buddy thing was literally something i had been building since the end of day 1. a month's work and you managed to see through it.
ythan - i dont even know how you became such an unlimmable fucker but here we are, the utr of elo, just wow. you were my chosen nk had this ended in a nl.
a50 - you also had pretty scarily strong reads on the scumteam, i think you might've been the only person to scumread both me and hopkirk which was just frustrating because hopkirk and i had worked on this elaborate distancing trajectory since day 1. that's pretty good stuff
dunnstral - another unlimmable motherfucker that nearly singlehandedly took control of d2. dictator dunny inc- OkaPoka

a50 definitely had some insane moments of clarity
1) he was one of two players (you as well dann xd) to pick up on a plan of scum trying to townbloc each other (we later dropped this plan, but you can see artifacts of this plan)
2) he was i think the only person to pursue the idea that me and hopkirk were both scum into the d2/d3/d4 which is pretty nuts. i think nobody else had both me and hop at the top if their lim list which was literally one of me and hop's primary goal, trying to split everybody's reads into either scumreading a me + xyz team or a hop + xyz team and a50 being immune to all of that noise is pretty nutty- OkaPoka

Setup wise, I am interested, what would you considered the ~ev of a setup like this to be? Not like "I think this is balanced" but I think this is 55/45 favoring x side etc.
Also if there is a setup thread I'd love to see it.
And was the fact that this was a reroll factor into setup design/balance consideration? I remember being very confident in a higher kill density and a low protection density in the reroll setup because I'd assume you guys would want to speed things up but this setup is within the realm of "it just ended up that way"
I am also interested in general how much did team mafia play into design considerations- OkaPoka

In the middle of my blood ritual, I received a vision, not from Cthulhu, oh great green Cthulhu, but from another. In post 6211, Jingle wrote:
They did stop coming. He was elimmed. In post 6192, Hopkirk wrote:don't stop coming
In my visions there was a short man, I think he had to be nobility but he did have a strange name, fuckwad I believe? Nevertheless a short man who showed me a world of the green Cthulhu. The fields of grass were consumed by an ethereal swampy mist, truly vomit-inducing. And though I had hated the world at one time, an old warthog and strange time travelling doctor had ironically showed me the goodness of this god given earth. They may have been recent converts to the cult of the green Cthulhu, but in their conversion I realized that the world was not so deserving of such a terrible fate. Finally, I realized my eyes had been clouded by the call of Cthulhu and I had immediately put an end to my ritual.
But unfortunately, what has been done cannot be undone. The call of my green monstrous overlord has been heard, and it has been awaken from its eternal slumber. Cultists from around the world have been summoned to finish the ritual, and they lie in the shadows among us. I must call on my new allies and friends to put an end, an end to the final cries of the green Cthulhu cultists. They serve a singular purpose, to make sure that Cthulhu becomes love, Cthulhu becomes life, and that is something we simply cannot let happen.- OkaPoka

yeah this game was very fun to be a part of, hell last game was pretty fun for town at least
on one hand im sad that we couldn't play out the inevitable insanity that would follow when the vibers would eventually purge the half of the playerlist that simply were not vibing and realize, wait the game isn't over and the ensuing chaos would've been absolutely glorious
but on the other hand we got the insanity of this game's d1- OkaPoka

don't beat yourself up too much
you gotta realize that the entire scumteam literally spent the most hours in trying to manipulate specifically you, and you shielding jjh for a lim and chaining lims was pretty instrumental in shutting the door on. and besides you managed to completely shut the door on my chances of going far.
and you can take a gander at the scum pt where i basically write out every single timeline, and you know what they all have in common? you die before you can properly reevaluate because i truly believe that if given the time to reevaluate, you were town's best chance at sending the game home. i still believe that, and it does suck a little for you that you were essentially taken out at your lowest point, but how quickly the narrative would've changed if you lived say another day or two and could sort say a ythan, mastina, titus, hopkirk endgame. - OkaPoka
