Interested in hearing your objections to the "have manatee do second elim with public consensus" plan?

It's really that simple.
If I have my druthers, you and Dunn will be instrumental in guiding what manatee does with her abilities today.
Cabd seems like other stuff is occupying his mental gamespace right now.

You haven't explained what you don't like about Toog being the leading wagon unless I missed it.

My thought on manatee is slightly mechanical. I think her role is too strong to be a scum role, because it goes against what you normally see from mafia roles. Their actions are done at night to counter town abilities or fortify themselves. Manatee's role is a open statement and something that would just give scum an easier step towards their wincon of reaching 50% majority, which to me isn't very wise and would leave a lot of people bitching. Again, jjh says this game is not bastard. A scum role that can give two mislims or randomly eject someone is pretty fucking bastard. I would have complaints.
That being said, the plan isn't terrible, but I don't feel like it's something you can force. If you read Manatee's content up until this point it looks like she doesn't even care. She's not considering her role or how to use it effectively, which in my eyes makes her less townie; I think GiF's tinfoil is right.

Yes, but no?
I think it's pretty settled that my suspicions were correct and firebringer lives among us in my top townread slot.

Was I correct to take away from our short convo last night that you don't have questions for me about how I've approached the game and you in particular?

Nothing wrong with the makeup of the wagon barring one (maybe two) votes
I just don't think it flips scum if my own thoughts be true

I think my observations were valid about the postmortem but if you feel they're not you are welcome to engage on that aspect of things.

That's what I want to understand: why you don't think it flips scum.

You seemed concerned that we put together a reads list without demanding you go first.
The most important thing we need from this day 1 is not solely a solid read of you.

Because I have 3 (4) other people who I think have a better chance to do so

Her role is provable though, so if you don't think it makes sense for scum to have that role just work toward getting her to place it somewhere before deadline, that should prove her for you

I'm getting absolutely zip regarding what you actually think about toog's play and why from this.
maybe it's a starting place disconnect in terms of approaching the game, but it's a little frustrating.

I feel like I gave a decent demonstration earlier about toog's play
Not much has changed because they still have the same complaints. The wagon is stagnant, even if they're scum they're just going to do the same things they've always been lol

Manatee should check in and go over what they want to do with their role now
Last that was heard they wanted to use it to hammer and shoot somebody at night, but using it during the day seems better

If their second vote is on wagon, they gain a one-shot vigilante for that night
If their second vote is off wagon, that player dies at the end of the day along with the original elimination
If their second vote is on nobody, a random town-aligned player dies
Once they place their second vote, it can't be moved during that same day
That's how I understand it

If we want her to use the second option then the second vote should wait until the elim is decided.
Unless there's something I'm missing, she could put 2 votes down on the same wagon, which has mid to late game implications.

IMO she should use her second vote on the wagon that is mostly decided (Toogeloo) and we figure out the second elimination with votes, rather than vice versa

I like the way you think.
Assuming her first vote is normal/moveable. which I do, but confirmation's good.
