I mean, maybe there's a universe in which Spangled and Val are Scum, but unlikely

Either way, scum won. Well done

This was partly my fault. I should have just said it was ELO. Someone clearly didn't realise, or did and was cocky for 0 reason

Don't need to say it, Margot. I am so fucking tilted right now. Good sportsmanship and all - well played everyone.

I can't figure out what you mean about the stuff with code around it, did you mean post 323?

In any case, the Thyn crumb is pretty conclusive, but this is a ELO, so out of an abundance of caution: any CC?

Such caution.

Very waiting until your partner gets into your scum PT to confirm they are ready to simultaneously hammer with you.

FUKN WOW

My first five games are just the site equivalent of getting out your bad dice rolls before a night of DnD...

Right??

Must be so. Don't you qualify to play in normal games now? So you shouldn't expect this sorta thing to happen again

Posted: Wed Oct 20, 2021 4:43 pm
by Vulture
It happens in normal games often, tbf. People are zoo animals out there.

Also Margot, I don't think it was your fault it panned out like this in endgame -- is a good lesson though, to never vote in ELO until you are ready for the game to potentally end.

Yeah, I've played two normals, three newbs, lost all five lel

Ya caught a pretty lucky break, guys. I would've gone for Vulture and we could've had a very tense ELo game on D4.

It's hard. I feel like I'm sitting about 50/50 in terms of whether to just go with intuition or not

I honestly think I might have been able to convince Town to kill Val if enough of Town had been active at any one moment.

Should not have given up and killed FB, but what do

The fact that it's not our fault makes it somewhat worse, imho

I'm proud of myself that I trusted myself and hard TRed Spangled more or less the whole way through that game

Intuition's a big part of play -- I often go off of gut vibes or feelings of things being 'off' and try to go from there. I think it's important but basing the entirety of your play on it is bad. So, listen to it and try to figure out why you feel something.

:P That's the ropes. Sometimes things are out of your hands in a game, it's not a fun feeling, but usually you have more agency.

To satisfy curiosity, why did you kill Galron? Was it just to be fuckheads and get Town riled up over nothing?

Well, if it makes you feel any better, you can have a good laugh at what an idiot I was in scumchat in a few days.

Bruh I hate to sound like this, but of Margot and I were in ELo D4 we could very well have gone after Val.
Meh. Could've, would've, should've

(I also don't think it's a particularly bad play by Spangled either; 2/3 chance to hit mafia and I think I did a decent job of tying myself to Margot with the townread, so the odds were on the town's side with outed (and believed) masons to hit scum.)

I thiiiink that was a PR read, I skimmed that a bit because it was before I subbed in.

Yeah. It was an ok guess Spangled. I just think future should call for more caution

We thought we could sell it as a newbscum team buying his obvious fake PRs.

But then there was also an element of him seeming to try fly under the radar and avoid the night kill, so we decided just to shoot there anyhow, just in case.
