xtoxm i probably should have pushed you a bit harder earlier on .... your play kinda looked exactly like TM 2020.

ig i think that too many masons is a bit op
and also hectic's picks just didn't ... synthesize together really if that makes sense?

idk maybe this was a weird iteration of the versus series

was an interesting experiment, not really caring about getting flipped like i did this time
i feel like i maybe slightly course-corrected too much towards the 'uncaring' side post-tenet

Setup-wise there is no situation where I'd pick less than 3 masons as the town stump so i agree that it's a balancing problem -- it's probably way too much to expect for scum to find the masons in such a large game (plus PRs to worry about)

to be fair, this game was FL vs Hectic, and I think it really did end up being that way.

You had the Magical modifier, and I knew you guys did, but you guys didn't really abuse it.

Sticky Fruit Vendor, dont know what you did there, but that is ABSURDLY powerful.

Okay yeah I remember talking about increasing the mason picks and lowering the masons to 2 but I forgot about the ladder.
These games should probably be 13p games in a setup that's just 3 goons vs 3 masons + vts.

Something that may actually be worth trying is hiding the alignment of the stumps but if you were to do that the masons need to be lowered.

yes, but i would have WIFOM'd myself so hard.

I already did WIFOM myself hard, that's how skitter got misfaded, even though that did help me end up with the correct reads.

True, forcing you to to WIFOM over something would've probably given us ammo for more mislaunches

I did note that as a weakness of yours, from you townreading clidd in that one game, and Ydrasse in Boardgames

like 13p 3 goons vs 3 masons a very balanced setup so just inserting stumps in there I mean probably makes it more townsided but at the same time scum gets to pick who is scum.

Yeah, it really is.

I'm also weak to people charming me, so Ydrasse had a good play, but the issue was it was only gonna last so long here, and I don't think the evolution of that went anywhere at all.

I liked a lot of the ideas that were happening, and I think the scum team was a good draft pick.

You interacted with Catboii and Ydrasse too much, though, in thread, I think

Yeah, I really didn't want 3 masons, but it was just by far the optimal way to go about it.

Xtoxm/Ydrasse were 2 of my mason choices, and since I got neither of them, early on I was like....yeah, they're probably scum. Then I talked to them and got pocketed.

But they both dropped trying to pocket me a few days in, and they didn't do anything with the pocket to try to influence me.

disagree, the masons should be removed entirely and different mech introduced

the masons have an intrinsic impact on the game that increases the force of the stump to lead which is negative to game fun

Ydrasse relentlessly flirting with you was a gambit technically lol

And did I? I thought I barely interacted with Catboi. I interacted Starcrossed and Morning(?) a lot, and Ydrasse a fair bit but less so

Like, honestly, scum just let me steamroll, and hoped I'd go for a miss or a self destruction, and at the end of the day, that might've worked for a day phase, but i wasn't going to end that way ever this game.

Late game as town is my sweet spot in Mafia, and I just wasn't really stoppable, and then once Alisae went Super Saiyan, it was done.
